The tray on my Capresso C-1300 was accidently pulled out about 1/2" while it was brewing. I pushed the tray back in and then a large brown flap fell out of the machine. Do I have to send the machine in for repair, or could I somehow attach the piece that fell out by myself. Help!
You can re-attach this brown flap youself if machine is not still under warranty (that would void the warranty) or if the tabs or flap is not broken. I have had this machine apart and have taken off the brown flap which have tabs on the top and sides that fits on the front(facing you) of the press (looks like a big white cog inside a brown case( I have photos). The thing is, taking the case off. Screws with special tops that requires specialized tools for removel of case. My husband had to use pliers very carefully to get these out and he said he will put regular same size back in. If you want the manual or photos, let me know yor e-mail.

It is probably because the brewing unit has not stopped in the correct at rest position. I'm not familiar with your brand but sometimes if you remove the bin from the tray you can slip the bare tray back in under the brewing unit enough to activate the machine so it can reset itself.
For Jura F7 Series, "Tray Missing, can't put it back in". With a small flashlight, look in to the cavity which the tray and grounds container reside in. Along the right side above a slot to the end, you'll see a white micro switch. with a "Tooth Pick" simply press the switch inward (to the right) and hold till the machine cycles the Levcer / Flap up and out of the way.! Put your tray and grounds container back in and begin brewing!! -dh
Your showing a Syncrony but this is for a Syncrony Compact. They are different. Open the door. Remove the drip tray, dredge drawer. On the left side and towards the back of the brew group, there is a single screw in the brew group. If you can't get the dredge drawer out, just move it as far to the left as you can to get to the screw. Remove the screw. Grab the handle, squeeze and pull carefully, but firmly fast. Everything will come out (drip tray, dredge drawer, brew group and there might be water in the drip tray). The brew group should come out. There is a piece that remains in the machine. Slide the piece down and to the right and it will come off. Insert the piece into the hole on the backside of the brew group with the clip up. Tighten the screw and move brew group back into position. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and then to the center of the brew group. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not just push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group into the machine. First you must insert the dredge drawer back into the machine. Close the door and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, pull out the dredge drawer, drip tray, then open the door and insert the brew group. Slide the drip tray, dredge drawer back in, close the door and test.

Line up the 2 diamonds and it centered) If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not, locate the slide on the left side of the brew unit,(it should be hanging down, a flat rectangular piece attached to the cylinder) and push the slide to the right until it does. Hi, if you havn't already solved this one, it has been caused by pulling the drip tray/ dump box out while the brew unit was still active. Switch off the machine and insert the drip tray without the dump box. Turn the machine back on and the brew unit should re align itself.
Check behind the drip tray for coffee grounds. Make sure that your drip tray is locked in. If its not fully locked it, this could be your problem. If everything is removed but the brew unit, grab the handle without pushing the press button, and pull. If the brew unit comes out, it wasn't locked in. Put the drip tray in. Set the brew unit on the drip tray. Now slide the brew unit towards the machine with a little force and see if that locked it in?
kat346 There are a number of places were the leak could be occurring. I can't pinpoint it without see inside your machine. I maybe something like a broken or dried out oring or a cracked fitting or heater cartridge. We repair E75 www.hotncold.com
