Shop up at the parts dept at any GM dealer and have some proof that the car is yours. tell the counter person what happened and he'll pull up the code for you and tell you how to enter it. Sometimes at some dealers they write it somewhere it the owers manual ( if you have it) I seen them on the back cover front cover. and on the page that shows you how to enter the code. Sometimes thier on the deal papers where it was bought new. So the dealer may tell you on the phone if your the new vehical purchaser
Manual unlock door start car. The car battery was low and could not respond to key. If it win't start charge or jump it. Do not disconnect the battery unless you have to some systems require special codes for radios and other equipment. You may have to get the auto club to open the door for the hood release and jump you there. I don't feel bothe remotes batterys went bad at the same time but. The last resort is to change one and try it. Don't expect radio shack to replace your battery for your remote try calling a locksmith or the dealarship. Some dealerships are quite helpful...depends on where you live.
1.Locate the Data Link Port. It is located under dash drivers side. Be sure you know which pins are 8 and 4.
(Notice port is wider on top row)
2.Make sure there are metal contact pins in terminals 8 and 4. Connect 8 to 4 with a suitable jumper wire (leave the jumper wire connected throughout the programming procedure). Make sure you know which terminals are 8 and 4. The vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors to signify entering of programming mode. 3.Press and hold both the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons together on the first transmitter to be programmed. After about 15 seconds, the vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the doors. Release the buttons on the transmitter. 4.Within one minute, repeat the previous step on the remaining transmitters to be programmed. 5.Remove jumper wire applied to the OBDIIPort.
this is common gm prob with your vehicle. the control unit needs to be replaced. and as for the resistor pack im not sure where you are looking, but in the dash in the same area as the heater controls is a gray or silver box and this is for the radio.
hmm that is realy a problem because this is security lock for stealing car radios.. you must have a 4 digit number on smal paper and a serial number on it alsso, but the solution is also to call the factory of the radio and thel them your serial on radio and thay will give you your 4 digit number PIN when you confirm you bought your radio leagaly
