Question about Pure Digital Flip Video Ultra Camcorder
How do we accomplish this?
I had the same problem so I tried the thing on the website and it didn't work so I looked it up on Youtube and someone figured out how to do it. I tried it and I got all 60 minutes back. You should try this, it probably works.
PS instead of 5 nines it's 6 nines.

I had the same problem. Connect your Flip to Macbook and empty the Trash. I now have whole 2 hrs of filming.

This is how I solved the problem of lost record time after two incidents of video file corruption (Flip Mino HD connected to PC with Windows XP):
I made a disk check after which Windows had created a hidden folder named"FOUND.000" which contained a file with all the lost clusters of the corrupted videos (to see this folder you have to change your file explorer options to see all files/folders including protected system files). The file had just the size which I had been missing (about 3.5 GB). I deleted the "FOUND.000" folder and now the camcorder shows the full 60 minutes record time again.

I had the same problem with my Flip Ultra HD; after downloading all the videos and asking the camcorder to delete all videos from the camcorder's Hard Drive, I was getting a message saying "Camcorder Full" when trying to record new videos and "Camcorder Empty" when trying to delete the videos allegedly existing in the Hard Drive of the camcorder. Contacted Flip support. No help. Then, suddenly I noticed that an entire folder from "My Documents" which had a lot of data (pictures and music) MYSTERIOUSLY had been copied in my camcorder. How in the hell did that happened? It would have taken at least 5 minutes to copy it over had I done it intentionally and I am sure I would have noticed it otherwise. My guess is that the Flip Software copied it onto the camcorder's HD accidently. Needless to say that I deleted the file that was causing the problem from the camcorder's HD and got my full 2hrs. back. My Lesson: Make sure that there are no foreign files in the camcorder's HD occupaying space.

This may sound risky, but I did this and my Camera is working perfectly again... If you don't have any videos on it you need to salvage too badly this should do the trick.
1) Plug it in (obviously)
2) Go to My Computer and right click your video camera
3) Click Format
4) I clicked restore device defaults because it sounded safe (but may not be necessary)
5) Click start and begin the reformatting
After this i went from my incorrect 27:11 min. remaining on the camera to the full 60. Still records perfectly and the software is still on it and works correctly. Hope it helps some of you out there =)
