Question about Life Fitness Stamina 1205 Precision Rower

Stamina 1205 Rowing Machine

Squeaks when I pull back on the arms.
Tried WD-40 and tightening bolts.
I need troubleshooting.

Mine did this as well--turn the shock 180 degrees so the sticker is down and the caution sticker--this fixed mine. The shock is probably slightly off from the factory and is in a bind the other way. Hope this fixes the problem for others.

If it's a nut coming loose from a bolt you could try Threadlock compound. It's a liquid you put on the thread of the bolt before putting the nut on. As you tighten it up the air is forced out of the thread and the liquid sets to lock the nut in place.

Squeaking


I am in the same boat, currently looking for an answer on this one. It is a really abnoxious squeak. Tried WD-40 but no luck. Not sure where the problem is even coming from.

Tension pully arm will not move back to get the belt on


get a long breaker arm with proper socket size to fit the bolt center of pulley.

squirt some pb blaster or wd-40 on pivot point and wait a few minutes.

pull the wrench handle to deflect the spring inside the arm and move the pulley.

Tighten bolt is frozen


WD-40 and let it sit for a few hours and it came loose. Had to wash it good before using it.

I had use dry ice to freeze the bolt so I could get off the nut...redicuolus...

Note: The pully is regular thread...Do not tighten this bolt down at all when you are putting it aside to wait for parts....I'm an @!#
