Blinking cursor changes shape, little flag

What OS are you running?
If you are worried about a key logger then run a virus/malware/root kit scan. If you want to get even more in detail run a chkdisk from the
C:\ prompt and look for unindexed files. Better yet get a program like Malwarebytes (shareware) or Spybot Search and Destroy (Free) online and run those to root out potential pesky bugs. Stay off free download sites and virus check everything you download before installing. That is why they call them Trojans as they are piggybacked on legit programs or movies you download online.

The left click button on my Logitech M555b mouse stopped working earlier today for no apparent reason. It has no physical damage, such as dents, scrapes, or water damage. The mouse is only about 2 months...

I have found that the best way to adjust your mouse settings is to create a control panel in your bottom toolbar scroll to the bottom of your screen right click you will see an array of options select the toolbar option then select desktop

then you will see the desktop in the bottom toolbar select the 2 >>arrow heads then all control panel items then select mouse this is in WINDOWS 7

then click on the >> all control panel items scroll to mouse in the buttons tab you will see the defaults left button right button and middle wheel click you might have to set the left click button again

in XP you will have to select the new toolbar option once you have that a browse option select my computer then control panel then a control panel option will be in the bottom toolbar

.

Or disconnect the mouse from your computer restart.
If still does not work you need a new mouse.

hope this helps

Theres an inch and a half of black space around my compter screen which makes it really small

Due to the lack of detail about your monitor, I can only speculate as to what the problem might be.

If you're on a CRT monitor (the big old school ones) then you should be able to adjust that using the buttons on the monitor.

If this is an LCD screen then it might just be that your resolution is off. Assuming you have something like Windows XP, you can right click on the Desktop, select properties, go to the tab all the way on the right called "Settings" and then adjust the slider for resolution.

If that doesn't help and you'd like more assistance, I'd be glad to try and lend you a hand. My e-mail is perdue1202@yahoo.com

Good Luck.
