Hey there,
your question is under "Ahead" so I assume youre talking about nero. sorry you had this happen, sometimes busy people are too busy to help and end up being unhelpful. But he was right on one thing, unless you go to a local store and buy one, the best place to find a good copying program is on the net.

I looked about for some alternatives to Nero and found this:

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/the-best-free-alternatives-to-nero-cddvd-burner/

Many of them do the copying you're talking about, so try them out, they cost nothing. The internet is full nowadays with really good free alternatives to paid programs due to "open source" initiatives where programmers volunteer write the programs they dont want to pay for...

Good luck!

Did not erase but since last night photo's on card have gone.

Did you copy them to your computer? In some cases, the computer will default to "moving" the pictures instead of copying. "Move" deletes the original after making the copy.

Your camera won't be able to undelete pictures, but there are programs for doing this on a computer. You can put the memory card into a card reader attached to a computer, and use an undelete program to recover the deleted files. Undelete programs are available for free download from the internet, try at www.download.com.

I HAVE A COMPUTER WHERE MY SON HAS INNSTALLED WINDOWS VISTA COPY, BUT MY ORIGINAL PRODUCKEY DOSENT WORK, HOW DO I GET BACK TOO THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS SYS ON MY PC

You would need either a restore disc or full windows disc.
He has deleted your original OS when he loaded vista.
You can either BUY a copy of windows
OR download a copy from a torrent site (try ISOHUNT), you can usually get a copy with the serial AND the activation patch.
This would be your only option if you could not afford to buy a copy of windows

I've got a gateway 816gm coputer and had a virus and downloaded a program to get rid of it, now I've lost something on my hard drive in the NTFS part.My desktop will not load internet explorer or some...

In your situation, please make a list of all your apps that you lost. For the internet explorer, if you have another pc you can get to the internet on, I recommend downloading IE7. Then you will need to go to add/remove programs, windows components tab, uninstall the version of IE that you have. Next take the copy of IE7 that you downloaded from MS, and install.
It will require some work to re-install all of your programs... I would advise you to contact Gateway and see if you can get a disk from them and re-install your OS, If the virus did that much damage you are better of to start with a fresh copy of windows.

I recently got a Philips DVD Recorder/VCR: Model No. DVDR3510V/05; Serial No. 0751 010790. I have recorded a VCR tape and would like to transfer this to a DVD±R disc. Can you tell me how to delete...

After you transfer the data to the DVD, you can use a DVD editing program like the DVD remake found on this link

http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvdremake_tutorial.cfm

and you can edit out all of the commercials

let me know if you have further questions with this

My wifes computer appears of line to all her contacts but she has not set it that way what can she do to correct this?

She is going to need to give her computer a complete cleaning job because messenger takes alot of available memory:

Update and run virus control

Go to toolbar>tools>internet options>general>and delete all cookies

go to Start>All programs>accessories>systems tools>disc cleanup and run that

How many little icons does she show in the lower right corner. These are programs that are always "on" running in the background and they take a lot of memory. I can tell you how to get rid of them if there are several unnecessary ones.

Clean up the desktop. Are there a bunch of icons for programs you rarely if ever use? right click on them and delete them. This does not delete the program and you can put them back anytime.

If you have a registry cleaning program, run that

Empty email trash

Empty the trash can

Do a defrag which can be found at the same place as the disc cleanup
Now restart your computer.

Turn off all running programs using the icons in the lower right corner. Be sure to turn off your virus/firewall control.

Uninstall messenger (Save any lists just by copying them to a new text file somewhere.)

Now leaving your proggys off, download and reinstall messenger. This is called a clean install. Restart your computer once more. Do not save abunch of history in messenger. It takes up tons of memory.

Good luck.

Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-840S Problem

If you can remember a time when it worked, the simplest solution may be to use system restore to a time when you think everything worked. If that doesn't do it, go to Control Panel, open device manager, and and check for any yellow checks for your CD/DVD ROM drives, and your sound, video and game controllers. If there are none, your system is go. Also go to your audio manager on control panel, and set it up for whatever speaker configuration you have. But most likely, your CD/DVD burning program may be corrupted. Remarkably, the drives don't work unless you have a functioning non-microsoft CD/DVD burning program. They don't need drivers. Find out what program you have by downloading Belarc Advisor, a free program which not only tells you everything in your computer, with model numbers for hardware and all of your software (with their unique codes), and will also inform you if you are missing any needed Windows updates. Once you know what CD/DVD burning programs you have, go to Acer and download any updates (you can't go to the manufacturer of the program, because they make special editions for different computer manufactureres). If that doesn't fix the problem, you can find and reinstall your original program (you may have made copies of all your programs when you first bought your Acer). You can copy the original programs that came with the Acer using Acer eRecovery Management. (You can read about your Acer by clicking on "All Programs" and then on "AcerSystem", where you will find your manual, where you will find the following info: The eRecovery allows you to backup/restore the factory default image, and reinstall any applications and drivers. (In this instance you want to reinstall your CD-DVD burning programs). You just need to select the Burn Disc button, then select the application you want to burn to the disc--in this case, you CD-DVD buring program you identified with Belarc, burn it, then reinstall it. (You might want to burn all the applications the computer came with, just to have them for backup). That should get you going again. Let me know if you run into any problems.

Ipe.exe error at Novatel Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0

Did you install it from an original disc or download it off the internet? If it is off an original disc, try making a copy of the dic if you have a burner. Now use the copy as the install disc. Unisntall it ands reinstall with backup copy disc. If you downloaded it off the net, the download is corrupted, and you need to uninstall it and download it again. Good luck.
