Question about RCA 27F530T 27" TV

1 Answer

I need to replace the power cord

I am trying to replace the power cord on a 42 inch flat screen RCA 27F520T and I can't see where the power cord would've run from. Could you please help me by telling me where to look for the power cord connector? THANKS

You will have to open up the back of the tv. This can be a very dangerous as there can be a lot of stored voltage inside even if its unplugged. If you choose to do it, look on the back of the circuit board for an empty connector that used to have the power cord. Sometimes they are soldered striaght in, Do you have a replacement? Also if there is some wire left you can splice the wires togeher without having to do any soldering.

On my RCA truflat tv there are solid white horizontal lines going across the top 5 inches of the screen? Do i need to get it repaired or is it a simple problem?

Hello
Your TVs vertical output section has the trouble. Electrolytic capacitors in that section, 8 numbers the most, should be replaced with new capacitors. Iit won't cost more. OK.
