Question about Toshiba Satellite A55-S306 Notebook
The computer won't restart after going into hybernation, either open or closed. I can get it to start if I hit the power switch several times shutting it down and then immediately restarting ... but this isn't exactly accurate because it doesn't always completely shut down it just won't come out of hybernation. I can hear the fan shut down and restart and after doing this about 5 or 6 times it will finally come on. It restarts Windows but its not like it really reboots. I'm not much of a techie so I hope I'm explaining this right. I took it to a computer store and I was told that I needed a new motherboard. It just doesn't sound right to me. If the motherboard was bad would the computer even turn on?
Turn the PC on, when it is booting up, keep hitting "F8" until windows boot options come up, choose "Safe Mode" and then once it boots into safe mode fully, go to the start menu and choose shut down. After it shuts down, turn it back on and it should go back into normal mode. From now on, don't use Hibernate, its buggy and has been since XP.
