Hi, Don't have much to work with here so I will do the best I can, I am going to assume the water where you live has scale or calcium which builds up in the coffee maker over time. Go to your grocery store and buy some cream of tartar which you can find in the spice section, it is a white water soluble powder. Dissolve about a teaspoon full in a pot of your coffee water, put in a filter with nothing in it and cycle the water through the coffee maker, if it is really scaled up do this a couple of times, discard the filters which probably will have some little white and yellow chunks in it and this should speed her back up. Good Luck!

Have you tried cleaning your coffee maker? If not just fill half of the carafe with white vinegar and let it brew. Keep basket in during cleaning but no filter needed. After running the vinegar through the brew cycle, fill the carafe with plain water and run fresh water through about 3 to 4 times. I do this every 4 to 6 months. I have a light on my coffee maker that lets me know when I need to clean it. I hope this helps.

Why does my mr coffee beeps while cleaning

The coffeemaker should only beep either when it detects that it has emptied the reservoir or when the two-hour warming timer expires. If it beeps at other times, but stays on, the reservoir sensor has gone bad (as did my last one). The coffeemaker should continue to work fine otherwise though.

Coffee plate not hot

That's not a lot to go on. But, I'm going to presume the obvious has been checked and say that the warming plate's heating element has gone bad. This is not a serviceable part. So, it is time to replace your coffeemaker.

What can I use to clean my Mr. Coffee 12-cup coffee maker?

The standard way to clean a coffeemaker is t run white vinegar through it then run straight water through it. That is one of the few things that will clean without leaving a residue. Good luck.

How do I use the self-cleaning option

According to the manual for IS series Mr. Coffee for programmable models:
1. Prepare one batch of Mr. Coffee coffeemaker cleaner. Pour the mixture into the water reservoir. Remove the water filtration disk from the machine.
4 cups or 20 oz. of undiluted, white household vinegar may be used as a substitute for the cleaner.
2. Place an empty paper filter or permanent filter into the filter basket and close.
3. Place the empty decanter back in the unit, centered on the warmer plate.
4. Press SELECT button until the red CLEAN indicator light is illuminated. For your convenience the cleaning cycle is automatic. The entire cycle will take 45-60 min to complete. During the cleaning your coffeemaker will:
  • Slow brew approx. 3 cups of cleaning solution.
  • Pause for 30 min (the CLEAN light will remain on to alert you that the process is active). At the end of the pause period your coffeemaker will beep.
  • After 30 mins your coffeemaker will brew the remainder of the cleaning solution.
  • When complete, the CLEAN light will turn off and your coffeemaker will automatically beep and shut off.
5.Discard the cleaning solution and rinse the decanter thoroughly with clean water.
6. Fill the water reservoir with clean fresh water.
7. Place the empty decanter back on the coffeemaker, centered on the warmer plate.
8. Remove and discard the filter used during the cleaning cycle and replace it with a fresh paper filter. If a permanent filter was used during cleaning, remove it and rinse it thoroughly before replacing it in the filter basket.
9.Begin brewing and allow the full brew cycle to complete.
Repeat steps 6-9 one more time.
