Question about Pitco Frialator SG18S Deep Fryer

Flames are coming out the top, back of my fryer

Not all the time but on occation. I have 3 fryers side by side and it just happens to 1. I see that there was another inquiry about this and you said it is probably a leaking fry pot. How much is it (cost for parts) to replace the frypot and how easy is it to do it?

Flames coming out the exhaust

Flames coming out of the exhaust can be caused by several things.
The fryer could be set up for natural gas and it is installed on a propane system. The fryer can be leaking oil near the burner tube and the oil is burning causing excess flame. There could be grease buildup in the flue in the back of the fryer from people hanging the baskets in the wrong place.

Hi there. Flames rolling back instead of shooting inside the fire tubes can be a result of clogged fire tubes or air entering the flue, also check if there are objects blocking the flue. Regards.

Pitco deep fryer flames coming out the fryer

Hi there.
The soot or carbon have probably build up inside the fire tubes, better check and have an authorized service technician clean them.
Make sure that the fryer is receiving the rated gas pressure and correct gas type as stated on the nameplate, this way, carbon or soot formation on fire tubes can be prevented
Regards.

FLAMES ARE COMING OUT THE BACK OF MY FRYER,WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLEM

There may be an excessive carbon deposits inside he heat tubes of your fryer, you have to clean/ remove these carbon to eliminate flames coming out of the back of your fryer (flue riser).Carbon build up on heat tubes are due to low gas pressure and volume; incorrect air and gas mixture.

My pitco 35 c the flame is burning yellow and not going inside the very wall i thought it might be the regulator pressure on the fryer on the back side

Low gas pressure will produce low flame quality (yellow flame).
Check and remove any dirt or soot on burner holes, and orifice
Burner flame not going inside the fire tube could be due to soot or carbon build up inside the fire tube blocking the flame path, check the inside of the fire tube, if considerable amount of soot is seen, better have them removed.
Yellow flame will cause a lot of problem on fryers if not corrected as soon as possible.
If you have doubt on your gas regulator, better have a qualified service technician to check it.

When pilot is lit and white dial is turned to ON, fryer will not ignite when the temp dial is turned from off to 350

Make sure the knob on the gas valve is turned to the ON position after lighting the pilot. If the fryer won't come on.... 1. The pilot flame may be weak causing low millivolts. 2. The thermostat is failing. 3. The pilot flame may be good but the pilot generator may be weak causing low millivolts. As this unit operates on less than 1 (one) volt DC.... you can try to jump the thermostat leads on the gas valve to see if it comes on. If it does... change the thermostat.

Long recovery time during busy times have a sg 14s fryer

Make sure you have a nice blue flame in burner the more yellow that it is the less heat it put out. To adjust the flame there are air control slides on the burners there the flame comes out. Open or close them to get the proper setting. You will see the flame go yellow and blue, the bluer the better. The gas pressure could be off which you have to check with a manometer 3 lbs per water column on natural gas and 11 lbs. on l.p. gas. Check the gas valve inlet screen for dirt. If the burner system is operating properly then you have a bad or dirty t-stat
