I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

If the unit will not turn off even when the reset button is pressed (there is a small hole on the back into which you would insert a straight pin or sewing needle to reset the player) unfortunately, the unit is defective. The warranty is 90 days from the date of purchase. You must have the receipt for warranty exchange.

If you feel this solution doesn't deserve a good rating, please let me know why so that I may better assist you. If there is anything more I can do to help, I will!

I have the sony ereader and it is locked. won't turn off or change screen how do I reboot?

Hi,

Looks like the reader is missing charge, try this:

1. Connect the reader to the computer and make sure a red steady light comes on, if not, then hit the reset at the bottom of the reader for 3 seconds and check if the light comes on now

2. Leave the reader charging for 15-30 minutes

3. Disconnect the reader and see if operational now, if still frozen, try the reset again and slide the power switch.

Good Luck!
