Kenmore dishwasher 16764 Quick Rinse Light won't go off
I have a Kenmore 16764 dishwasher about 2.5 years old. The quick rinse light came on and now the dishwasher won't work at all. The light just keeps flashing. I tried to unplug the dishwasher hoping it would reset but it didn't. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it myself?

Kenmore is **** with a double PP go buy a Maytag or GE and throw it threw the appliance dept like the Discount tire guy did on TV. I have asked the same question on 4 different blog's and no answer. The question to where they were actually built is unavailable. They only warranty products for 1 year and their disclaimer's add up to when you walk out the door. They are just JUNK! sorry I do not know the answer, first you will pay the repair man then end up buying a new one anyway. Same as me..Peace!
I had the same problem but I found someone wh said that there is a way to reset the dishwasher. I tried it and it has worked so far.
Here is what I did.
Push the Hi-temp and then push the Sani-rinse. Go back and forth multiple times on these two buttons. I found that after a handfull of pushes that a "1" came up on the display. I continued to keep rotating the two buttons and then a "2" came up on the display and the dishwater started it's "drain" phase. I then hit cancel to clear and then I selected the cycle I wanted. The washer started up just as normal at this point.
if the appliance is new enough to be covered by the guarantee (less than a year from new)anything that doesn't work right is covered, contact the manufacturer and tell then the problem and that you cant get it to work how it should, they will either call out and put it right or tell you how to reset the machine over the telephone
do not work on appliances yourself when covered by guarantees
I am having the same issue as described above. I think it is either the timer, thermostat (temp assure), or thermostat (temp boost) that needs replacing. The dial gets stucks in both the wash temp boost cycle and rinse temp boost cycle. However, I don't have a picture of the temp assure or boost part.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.
