How do you Program Astra 390 (tes 13211) for Talkswitch?

I have a talkswitch 24-ca and 4 of the tes13211 phones. I can't find info to program the phones.

Select "No" to the screen prompt "Do you have a passcode?" 5. Press "Yes" when asked if you want to download program. (Try to wait until after or before one of the beep sounds before pressing "Yes". Occasionally, if you press "Yes" during a beep, you will hear a noise similar to a dial up modem or fax machine. If this happens, hang up and re-program the phone.) 6. Hangup when complete

    The phone will automatically download the Talkswitch configuration. Just follow these instructions to reach the Aastra configuration support. Aastra automatically detects your Talkswitch system and gives you an option to download and install the configuration to your 390, right over the phone line!

The problem would seem like the phone is not finding the TalkSwitch system, or the configuration file for the phone does not exist. There are usually only 3 things that can cause this issue to occur:

1. Verify that the IP address for the TFTP Server, this must be your current public IP address. This can be found in the phone's menu under Networking -> TFTP Server -> Primary TFTP Server

2. Ensure that port 69 is open in the firewall at the TalkSwitch's side. Run the TS firewall test to confirm that it passes.

3. Confirm that you have the correct MAC address entered in for the Extension in the TalkSwitch software

Caller ID dOESN'T wORK


Log into your TalkSwitch Management Software.
Go to Telephone Lines.
Under each incoming line make sure that Caller ID is checked.
Click File> Save
Hopefully this will fix it for you.

Go to Telephone Lines.
Under each incoming line make sure that Caller ID is checked.
Click File> Save

Talkswitch 480 VS no longer shows caller ID Simply "out of area".Can this be repaired?


Call Talkswitch, they will offer a swap for another system and bill you $500 to do so. This happened to me twice. First swap was $250. A year later it is now $500. I was told this increase was due the end of the system life and a shortage on parts. My system is just about 4 years old. My next system will have telephone line surge supperssors inline with the telephone lines.

TalkSwitch 48 disconnects call after transfer


You are using the wrong option for transfer -- the one you are using is a conference which requires the person transferring the call to stay on the line. You need the option which permits a blind transfer or announced transfer. This issue is specifically discussed in the manual.

Number of Rings Before Pick-up


Log into your Management software.
Go to each phone line.
At the very bottom of the call handling section you should see routing options. Change these setting to the desired number of rings.

Somethings wrong!


Sorry to have to ask all these questions, but they are necessary to try to help figure out what is going on. I need to know what TalkSwitch system model you are using and what version of software it is running. A system serial number is required if I need to contact my distributor. If you could provide the current configuration file on the system, that may help as well.
