No Sound on frigidaire black smooth top stove/oven
We use our oven almost daily and went to use it the other day and there is no sound (i.e.: doesn't beep when you adjust the temp., doesn't beep to make you aware the oven is done preheating, etc.) In addition, it is not alarming us when the food we are baking is done. The timer works, there just isn't any sound when the time has expired. Are there settings that need to be reset?

Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control
board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as
the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is
correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from
heating. I hope this information helps to some degree.
Hi, try opening the door and looking for a little black switch on the right or left side, that the door actuates this is the door switch, while the stove is plugged in, hold this switch in and see if the lock moves.
The noise you heard was probably the oven element short circuiting to earth. If the cooktop and grill are working then the fuses, internal/main must not have blown. If this is the case the oven indicator light should come on when you turn the oven on. If it does the oven element is definitely faulty and needs replacing.
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?
Unplug your power cord from the socket outlet.
remove the back cover where the power cord connection is housed. visually check the connection, expose wire harness might touches the cover somehow. or the cover was dent that causes the bare wire to touched the cover. correct the dent if any, or tighen loose wire.assemble back cover. Reset your circuit breaker to your Stove because the pop sound might trip off your breaker. That should solve the problem.
