This is a car question. I believe you are asking about the S-(shift) indicator button. A button with a pyramid is your emergency flashers. A shift indicator button turns on the shift light when you are shifting the car to help you shift at the right time. A flasher button turns on the four way flashers.
A better idea is to provide the model of the car, Auto or manual transmission and it year. A picture of the interior of the car could help, showing the buttons. This will help a lot. Thanks!
If there is no scratches on it and the label isn't worn off it should play. Some older CDs had microscopic lithium ion batteries imbedded in them. You should check with the Mercedes dealer and see if they still carry the batteries and if they are replaceable. If that doesn't work I would smash it with a hammer.
For most Pioneer single CD players, you can set the clock using the following steps:
1.Press and hold the SOURCE button until the unit shuts off.
2.Press and hold SOURCE again until the clock appears. With some models you will press and hold the FUNCTION or AUDIO button instead of the SOURCE button.
3.Press the left or right arrow to select the segment of time you wish to adjust.
4.Press the up or down arrows to increase or decrease the numbers in the blinking segment.
5.Once the clock is set correctly, press the SOURCE button to exit.
i had the same proplem, inside buttons not working, took unit appart (quite easy). you just need to remember where all the little screws go back into.
i need that cable though!! thanx for the part number!!
same thing, some of the buttons on the bottom flip panel work, the important ones do not. select is the most important one that does not function. I opened the unit up and checked all the connections, the ribbon cable seemed to be connecting, i can only conclude it is chip thing, as the switches under buttons rang the bell on my continuity tester.
it is very easy to open up and put back to together.
