Problem for Samsung DVD-AR650

Samsung DVD player/recorder

recently I've had trouble while one touch record mode. The trouble is the unit freezes up, I cant 'stop', I cant 'eject' I need to get up & unplug the unit from the wall and reset it. This eliminates the recording to that point & the disc is ruined. anyone ever heard of this before and is there a solution ?

- Thanks, could be heating issue, its above the cable box at the moment, the media I'm using is MAXELL, I picked up some new discs to see if I might have gotten a bad batch.

I have seen it as a heat issue and a firmware issue. Depnding on the age, Samsung might update the firmware to correct this problem. Can also occur with cheapo media.
