Question about Weber Genesis Gold B Premium Grill

1 Answer

No flame...no gas flow

We have a Weber Gensis gold B.  I have replaced 2 proprane tanks and still no flame and no sign of the gas flowing even when I open the valves and try to light it with a match.
Anyone have any suggestions besides taking a hatchet to it?

Take the tank back off and open all the valves on the cooker. Close all the valves on the cooker. Put the tank back on the cooker. Open the tank just barely. Light the burners. The valve cannot be turned wide open on the newer grills.

Burner flames don't get hot, like not enough gas.

Try this, Turn off the tank. Disconnect it. Reconnect it. Turn tank valve back on very slowly and then see if you get bigger flame size.

you may need a grill clean or you need to adjust the air flow to your burners

Flame is low

try opening the tanks slower so the overfill protection device in the tank won't kick in and restrict the gas flow.

Gas does not flow properly to burners. Bled gas container. No impact. What else can I do?

try opening the tank really slowly. if you open the valve on the tank too quickly the OPD (overfill protection devise) will restrict the gas flow to the burners.

Low flame with tank full

try opening the tank really slowly and see if this helps. there is an overfill protection devise in the tank and if it is opened too quickly it will restrict the gas flow to the burners. hope this helps.

Weber Silver BBQ has 3 burners only 1 has normal flame.

you may have to remove the burners and clean the inside of them. they could have insect webs inside preventing the flow of gas. hope this helps. also, try opening the tank really slowly.

Low flame

This problem most likely is with your regulator. if you decide to replace it please make sure you get the right size replacement. Some salespeople dont know the difference there are four common sizes from class 1 to class 4. If you take the old one with you make sure you match the numbers up with a new one.

Hope this helps You
