Had win 7 reinstalled and Adobe, but can't get documents to open in my email.

You must set the default program settings, making Adobe the default program to open documents. The documents must be in a format that Adobe will recognize (ie: pdf).

I want to change my monitor colour temperature

When you use the Colors window to select colors for text or objects in a document, you can also assign a color profile to the document. Color profiles help ensure that the colors you see in the document onscreen match the colors in the document when it's printed or viewed on another computer.
To choose a color profile for a document:
  1. In your document, select the text or object whose color you want to change.
  2. Open the Colors window.
In some applications, you can open the Colors window by choosing Format > Font > Show Colors or Format > Show Colors. In some applications, you can also click a button in the application's toolbar or a settings pane.
  3. Click the Color Sliders button.
  4. Choose a slider option from the pop-up menu.
  5. Drag the sliders or enter specific values to adjust the color.
  6. Click the colored box next to the pop-up menu and choose a profile from the list.
If you open your document and the colors appear in a different shade or hue than you expected, the application you're using might not recognize color profiles. Try using the generic color profiles instead.
In some cases, an application may not open documents that use non-generic color profiles.
You can create your own custom color profiles using ColorSync Utility. For more information, open ColorSync Utility and choose Help > ColorSync Utility Help.

When I have one document open and want to open another one, Word superimposes the second document on the first. In other words, I don't have two windows open, rather one. I don't know what I did to program...

You can't open or view two documents at the same time, when you open a new document, of course it will minimize the first one and the second will be open. All you can do is to switch from document to another.

pressing ALT TAB, let you switch from documents or files that are currently open.
(hold ALT key then press TAB)

I can't open scanned images

For you to be able to open a scanned image, you must have a compatible application with which the document was scanned with. May be you do not have a compatible software to open the scanned document. If you are not the orignal owner of the scanned document, ask for the format with which the document is scanned.

I need to open web browser to past a letter from a web sight

If I understand you correctly, you need to open a letter in a web browser and it is not opening automatically. If this is happening you have one of three problems;
1. You computer does not know how to open this type document. To fix this, right click the document and go to "OPEN" and then choose your web browser program you like ( Opera, Firefox, iExplorer, etc ). You can also click the small check box to allow this document to open these documents with a web browser, EVERYTIME in the future.
2. Your document is not valid to be opened by a web browser. In this case look up the extension of the document on the Internet and find a suitable program to open it. For example: ".doc or .xyz )
3. If you web browser is working and refuses to open it, then it may be a security problem and you will have to change your setting in the browsers, security tab.

Good Luck
