if the baffle is not broken you can reattach, but it is on the out side of the drum.you can use over sized screws and you can add a glue.it is also very common for pennys or such to get under the baffles

I had the same issue and it is not a big job. You just need to take the front off and then take the brackets off (2 screws) to pop the top. At first I was hearing a scrap and then it was rubbing on the side of the dryer. I pop the top off and tightened the screws and the noise went away and it worked like a charm. Of course I always like to tighten things real tight; which was a mistake. I had tightened so hard that one of the baffels broke about 3 months later. I called the applicance store and they got me a replacement for like 3 dollars. Took off top, unscrewed the old baffel part that was still attached. Screwed on new one. It has worked great. below are instructions I would not recommend putting in oversize scres or putting filler in; if the baffel will not tighten because screw is stripped out of baffel, I would go on line or call local service center and see if you can order a new one, as they are really inexpensive to purchase.

You take off the door screws and the screws on the other side. This will allow you remove the front of the machine. Pull forward at the top front, it will pull out and then you can lift up to get the bottom out of some clips. You will have access to most of dryer from here, but if you want to pop the top, it pops up like a car hood. There are 2 brackets/bolts in the upper corners that need to be removed. You can then pop it up.

Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

You said, my Neptune dryer sounds like screws are tumbling, one of the 3 dividers connected to the drum inside the dryer is loose and it is leaving black marks on clothes

Those are the screws that hold the dividers to the drum.
The drum ha to come off to replace them. Big job!

Anyone have a picture of connections for a indesit idv65 tumble dryer, changed my belt and they fell off before i could take a picture of them

undo all of front (leave wires attached),,,, undo sides (take screws out of left and right sides approx 10 screws at back),,,,place belt round drum near mark left by old one,,,, lean on front of drum to lower drum to the motor spindle,,,,,,pushing hard down on drum will bend the drum on the inside as it touches the motor housing (don't worry it bends back),,,,,,,you should then have the drum close enough to the spindle to lever the belt over by hand,,,,,pull drum back up,,,,,rotate by hand to let the belt self align,,,,shouldn't come off spindle if you put it on with 3-4 grooves spare,,,,,, do back up (10 screws),,,,put front back on and pull drum onto the lip on the front of the frame, the new belt may be squeaky until it is wore in, Hope this helped Tim

Fin that tumbles clothing inside dryer coming loose, how can I tighten it?

These fins are usually screwed on from the outside of the drum. If you're up to it this is a simple but time consuming fix. Take the cabinet off the front of the dryer, the top will come off as well. be careful of the wires from the control console, they will stay attached to the dryer. Tighten the tumbler fins on the drum and then re-assemble the cabinet. Typically the screws you need to access are the same used for the door latch and hinges. They go back together easy ........

Maytag neptune dryer one of the dividers the screws came loose how can I fix this without calling for service

You are probably referring to the drum baffles. The baffles securing screws can be retightened by raising the top which requires the removal of the front panel. Click on the link below for the detailed steps.

2 of the 3 dividers in the dryer drum has come off. How do I screw them back in?

You have to disassemble the dryer partially to get the dividers back on.

There are two screws holding the door on, and it is slightly hooked in, take it off.

Take off the two screws on the opposite side.

Remove the front panel, pull out lift off tabs on bottom.

There are two hooks at top corners holding top down, 5/16 bolts I think on each side.

This allows room to reattach dividers when you raise top up, screws that came out should be laying on bottom of dryer. About two in each one, find four screws. Turn drum by hand to align for reattaching the dividers.
Important that you have unplugged and watch out for sharp edges.

Dryer squeeking while tumbling & leaves black smudge on clothes

it sounds like a drum support roller is going bad or the belt idler pulley. i think maytag has a kick panel on the bottom that can be removed. look inside with a flashlight and you may be able to see something. if not, you may have to take the drum out to get a really good look. make a note and study how the drive belt serpentines around the motor, pulley, and drum so you can get it back together.

Hi, UNPLUG the dryer. There are two screws on each side of the door opening. Remove them screws and the front should pull toward you and release. The door can either lift off or remain on. You can reach under the drum and tighten the screws.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

I have a Kenmore 70 Series gas dryer, model 76712691. The dryer has 3 plastic ''tumblers'' inside the dryer, to help the clothes tumble. Two of the tumblers have fallen off inside, leaving big holes inside...

Pull the dryer away from the wall, there is no bottom on the dryer, so the screws should be on the floor.
You can then pop the lid up from the front and fold it back. When you do, you will see the drum. Roll the drum around until you see the holes and reattach the tumblers.
You can also access the drum from below. Tip the dryer on its back and you can see the drum from the bottom.
Good luck.

Kenmore Elite Dryer with loose paddle- can I glue?

Unplug the dryer.
Remove the lint filter.
Remove the screws at the lint filter opening.
Pop the lid clips on the left and right front corners of the cabinet.
Rotate the drum counterclockwise until a tumble vane(paddle) is at the 12 o'clock position.
Tighten the screws going through the drum.
Repeat this for the other 2 vanes.
Re-assemble the dryer.
