I have same problem, as it will print but one page typed can take 5-7 minutes ?

  • Adry60 Apr 11, 2009

I have the same problem. The printer prints each line with intervals between them, so a simple page (e.g. in word) takes about 10 minutes to be done. I installed again the software from the HP page, but it doesn't fix the problem. Please someone knows how can I solve this problem?

do you perhaps have a setting somewhere that makes extra high quality? that slowed mine down to the speed of a paralysed snail

SOURCE: HP 1315 printing real slow

If there are a compatiable black cartridge
replace this cartridge with your old empty cartridge and print a test page (don't mind about printing of black )
If speed is correct,
then replace the black cartridge with another new cartridge.
(some time compatiable black cartridge not work properly to flow ink)

SOURCE: scan from hp psc 1315 to Mac OSX

first remove the printers folder, then the drivers manually one by one from the receipts folder, then remove the hp software. Deselect the hp in the printer preferences and then install the hp software again. And then it should work. Check in the printer preferences for your printer, If the hp fax is in there. Remove it and select the printer and thats it.

1.printers folder is located on the hard drive-library-printers
2.reiceipts folder is located same-library-reiceipts
3.Download the software from hp website.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.

Dear Sir,

Welcome back to Fixya

After changing ink cartridge, did you let the unit do an alignment? If not, you need to allow the unit to finish the alignment. If couldn't print another "alignment page" since the print queue was frozen in "pending" status ,so open the printer and remove and re-insert the ink cartridges.

Then place that "alignment page" on to the scanning bed and press the printer's scan button. The scanner startup again and 60 seconds later, then it start printing the documents remaining in the printer queue.

I think it deffinately solves your problem. If you have any problem regarding this issue leave a feedback we were happy to assist you.

Takes nearly an hour to print a page after the document has been sent for printing from the pc

that is a firmware issue.

but before you flash it ..
try to unplug and plug the printer,,,and then restart your computer..

you need to flash or load another printer firmware to the printer.
I think your printer firmware is available at your product service center.

firmware is the brain of the printer that make the printer print .

thanks for using FIXYA.

Printer is slow to start. Once it does, it prints normally

upgrade your cable to a usb 2.0 cable, and your usb cards to a usb 2.0. That should help it print faster. :)

It automatically print a page everytime I start my hp psc 1315

Hi Siddarth

In HP PSC 1315 printer after replacing new Ink Cartridges the printer always prints Alignment test page every time you turn it ON.To resolve this problem you must complete the alignment process.

Steps

1.Turn the printer ON.
2.Once its ON, it will print the Alignment page. Place the page in the scanner bed correctly.
3.Then Press START SCAN button.
4.The power light will start blinking, wait until the power lights turns solid.
5.Now Alignment process is over.Discard the paper from scanner.
6.Turn the printer OFF and then ON, it will not print that page again.

Note:Please follow this steps every time when you replace the Cartridges.

Thanks
