Ok, I was using my laptop i just got from My Uncle and it was working fine. Then i shut it off later. Later the next day i turned it on and it wouldnt fire up (the screen was Black) so i turned off and tried again No Luck so i kept trying and finally it worked
I wanted to noe what was wrong so i Asked my uncle he works for Seimens anyway he couldnt figure it out and now it completely wont turn on. Do you noe whats wrong with it and how i could fix it. Thanks
Using a flat edged screw driver, prise off the power bezel from the right hand side. Remove the two screws holding the keyboard in place, the gently lift the keyboard and unplug it from the motherboard. You should now see the connector for the screen where it attaches to the motherboard. Check that the connector is in properly. If this is OK and the screen still does not come on, you will need to remove the rubber stops from the screen and remove the six retaining screws. Unclip the bezel from around the screen and then remove the 4 retaining screws from the side. You will be able to lift the screen out and check that the cable connection to the rear of the screen is connected properly.
If the connection is good at both end of the cables then it's likely that the screen backlight has blown. These can be replaced by a professional for a modest cost or alternatively you will need a new screen.
