Your ground wire has come off. Before you do anything else, turn off your dryer at the breakers or unplug it. Be very careful. Check to see if the ground wire at the receptacle is attached. Then check your plug to see if it is properly wired. The ground portion of the plug will be longer than the other 2 or 3 prongs. The ground wire is green in color. So attach it first and then the other 2 or 3. (This varies from machine to machine.) See that the cord to the machine is properly attached as well. If you have a stand that is touching the body it will give you a shock. Follow this and you should be O.K. Lewt me know how this does.

You need a meter. Unplug the dryer and check for continuity between either of the 2 hot legs and the frame.

When did they stop making MC electric dryers? We have one that works like a charm so I was shocked when I found out they are not manufactured now.

Dryer won't turn on at all.. There is power to it because it shocked me and the washer runs. Do you have any idea what might be wrong?

Wait a minute, the dryer shocked you? I've seen this happen twice, where I got shocked and the dryer welded itself to the washer. Ok, you may have a electrical issue with house wiring. Or, someone may have wired the dryer cord incorrectly to the dryer. I've seen both. I would address the "shocking" issue and once it's solved it most likely will fix the Dryer operation.

Hello. The fact that you are getting a shock has the potential to injure or even kill you. Something is amiss either within the dryer or with the wiring or the plug. Get a qualified electrician in to check this out and repair it. The fact that your dryer is not working is the least of your problems until your SHOCK hazard is repaired. This is nothing to take lightly. Please have this checked right away. J.

Dryer just stopped working. I get shocked when i open the door or touch any metal part of the machine.

Unless the shock is static electricity, you'd best unplug it and call a professional. You have a dangerous problem.

Cold weather makes my 2002 Deville ride hard.

My girlfriends 2000 DHS had the same problem. She leaves her car beneith the carport because she don't have a garage. When tempertures are in the low 20s and High teens the car rode like a log wagon. When the tempertures rise during the day up into the high 30s all was well. No alarm on dash so dealer said not to bring it in because code would be found and a waste of money. I found the problem by heating up the rear shock with a torch and the car rode smooth. Removed the shock and found water and when compressed the water gushed out. Got replacement shocks online from low mileage deville for $120 pair. Replaced dryer so moisture would not ruin replaced shocks. New shocks was $800. That is what your problem is my friend. Your dryer is not doing the job in keeping moisture out of your system. Paid online $35.00 for dryer.

New Whirlpool Duet gas dryer (wgd9300vu) won't heat.

if its brand new,
anmd its gas, well then more than likely it was dropped, when it was dropped the graphite ignitor craked or broke due to shock impact,
i delivered units for 5 years and saw this numerous times.
I would tell you to fix it your self, but its brand new, if the company you bought it from has service they should give you a free service call and part

Cant get air ride system to work. already replaced air pump and leveling switch. have power to both. on a 1995 cadillac deville.

This may sound stupid but are the correct shocks and struts for air ride on it. I had a guy bring in his caddy with the same problem and the guy he bought it off of didn't want to pay for the expensive shocks and instead went with a cheaper pair without air capabilities. I put the right ones on and problem solved.

Low volt shocking

ouch! I have delt with this problem personally. every time i key'd up my astatic 636l i got shocked by the spring.
A shock in the mic is due to grounding problems. When you run the power a connex 4300 puts out and their is poor ground to the radio chassis itself it can cause shocking results! it will bight your lip, or shock the hand. no fun..... you SHOULD get some flat braided wire and run it from the radio body (metal part) (maybe where the mount knobs plug in) and make sure thats grounded. I dont know what powr supply you are using but a lot of them come with a screw or somewhere to ground the radio to.
See if that works it should stop your shocking problem.

it IS a grounding problem.

Broken Spring/Shock for my GLEQ642AS0 Fridigaire Dryer

there are no "suspension shocks/springs" on a dryer, those are usually on your washer. here is hte par number for he washer spring 134144700(which is about 8 inches long and 3/4" in diameter made of heavy gauge steel) youll need (2) and heres the suspension shock absorber number 134564200 its a set of 2, there shold only be 2 on your machine.
