Download the MP Tool software to your computer. The download file comes
in a compressed ZIP file that must be extracted using a ZIP
file-extraction program. Once you have downloaded the MP Tool zip file,
double-click on the file to extract the "MPtool.exe" executable program.
2. Turn on your printer and double-click the "MPtool.exe" file.
3. Click on the "Reset Main" button listed under "Waste Ink Counter," in the MP Tool program screen.
4. Click on the "Reset Platen" button and exit the program to complete the process.
There no easy way the printers are been made this way so you take them to the shop, but if you are handy with your hands and know what you are doing then you will need to take all apart and take out the ink pads inside the printer and clean them up make sure they nice dry when put back in, then you are going to need a program that you can find on the internet it will be called waste reset tools, or your printer will not work even after you done the clean out. I am not sure what canon you have so I cant tell you the tools you need for yours, i have got canon MP-Tools on my website if this is the one you need. with this you can reset the waste ink tank before you do the clean out but remember in time you will need to clean out or it going to be a big mess of ink coming out your printer.

your problem is waste ink absorber is full, you need the canon mp tool which is use to reset the counter of your printer, but you must dismantle your printer to clean the waste absorber because if you will reset the counter without cleaning it, all waste ink will overflow on your printer.
Hi guys, Error code 5B00 indicates absorber full error. To fix this problem you need to reset waste absorber counter and replace waste ink absorber. Unfortunately you don't write the printer model so I cannot write reset procedure here.
