Question about Toshiba 50H72 50" Rear Projection Television
Ive pretty much come to the conclusion that the problem with my toshiba projection 50h72 jumping and flashing is the hypermodule (lots of research has led me to this) however its possible im wrong, please tell me...and if im right does anyone know the part number for a replacement and where i could get one
Most Hyper modules are no longer available from Toshiba.
Hyper modules go bad due to problems in the power supply.
Which also needs attention.
We have developed a method of repairing the modules.
We are a Toshiba dealer in Milwaukee.
Note: What you read on the Internet is only a guess. You guess at you own expense and risk.
A dealer assumes that risk for you and provides a warranty.

It sounds like a typical problem with your Hypermodule. It will make the video distorted or ziz zag shapped in most cases.
If you are a decent do it yourselfer you can get a rebuild kit from www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit that includes all the parts and detailed step by tep photo instructions.
