GNC makes a pretty decent beta alanine product that you can buy either at
their stores or order online. Optimum Nutrition recently started to sell beta
alanine as well. You can order it from bodybuilding.com at http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/optimum/beta-alanine-powder.html.
Pretty much anybody who trains for endurance or strength can benefit from supplementing with beta alanine. This includes bodybuilders, runners, boxers, military personnel, and more.
The tingling feeling you're describing is coming from the beta alanine that is found in Assault (and in many other pre-workout supplements). It is perfectly normal and you should not worry about it. I also get it and it goes away after a short while.
The recommended amount of calcium per day depends on the age of the person. For example, teenagers (14-18 years old) should consume about 1300 mg of calcium, while adults (19-50) should consume about 1000 mg per day. It is recommended to take a dose of 500 mg each time, not more.
