Cocoa solids in chocolate do contain some caffeine so any drink with chocolate in is not going to be caffeine free. But milk chocolate contains a lot less cocoa solids than dark chocolate, so the type of chocolate used to make the drink will significantly alter the amount of caffeine in it.
There are several differences between the two:
Energy drinks contain a higher amount of carbohydrates, resulting
in more calories. They also contain high
levels of caffeine. They are designed to
give consumers a quick boost of energy.
Sports drinks, on the other hand, are intended to re-hydrate the
consumer after athletic activity.
Thermogenic supplements contain an effective combination of caffeine
anhydrous, synpherine, and yohibme. Let me explain what each ingredient does.
Caffeine anhydrous as you probably know is a strong stimulant that increases
mental alertness. Moreover, it increases metabolism and provides us with a good
amount of energy, which aids in burning calories. Synpherine is another strong
stimulant, which is the safe alternative to ephedra. Unlike ephedra, synpherine
is safe and does not raise blood pressure or heart rate. Moreover, Synpherine increases
metabolism, as well as suppresses your appetite, which can help you lose
weight. Finally, yohimbe has been proven to be effective in removing fats in
"problem areas" of the body and just like synpherine, it helps to suppress
appetite.
Thermogenic supplements contain a high amount of caffeine. Although it varies from product to product, you typically find between 150 mg and 250 mg of caffeine in a thermogenic (cup and a half-two cups and a half of coffee). If you are sensitive to caffeine or can't handle drinking more than a cup of coffee, you should take smaller servings of thermogenics or avoid them all together.
According to the 7Up website, all 7Up products are gluten-free. It also
mentions that products that contain high fructose corn syrup "may contain trace
amounts of corn gluten". You should ask your doctor if "trace amounts" will
have any negative effect on you.
