Question about Sharp EL-1197P Calculator
I took my Sharp EL-1197P apart and cleaned all the buttons, rubber pads, etc. I did a good job, but now the top row buttons, (print, ((although some print functions work such as the #/ key, but does not print each key stroke as should)), Rate, K - A, 5/4, F63210) do not work. I think it has something to do with the clear plastic piece that goes over those buttons inside, before the rubber pad goes back on. I don't know if it goes under, in-between, or on top of the rubber pad. Can you help me restore these functions ? Otherwise, it's as good as a brand new machine. Thanks. Bill

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

If the top button, third from the left is set to K it acts like a calculator. If you push it over to A it acts like an adding machine.
For an adding machine: type the number first then hit the function (i.e. +, -, x,...)
