There are several ways to this, you can let the cartridges get to the point where you can remove them then unplug the printer and remove the cartridges.
You must unplug the cord turning the printer off will not work as it will move the cartridges back to the home position.

DX-3443 ink is not supply to drum

You copier does not use ink, but toner. And because the "ink" detector is on, it could be the toner cartridge is empty.
Try to remove the toner cartridge and shake it firmly. than replace it. This could help for a few copies, but you must order new toner, if the sheets of paper keep coming up blank.

My hp Photosmart 7450 printer was working, then in the middle of printing it stopped and there is an error message on my computer, the green light is blinking on printer but won't print

First things first... try connecting your printer to another pc or laptop and try printing... make sure spooling is on in the driver and there are no other programs running...

if issue reappears then

It sounds like your printer cartridges are the issue

I would try reinstalling them...

if that does not work then

I would try cleaning your printer cartridge...

Gather cleaning supplies:
Clean distilled water. Use bottled or filtered water if distilled water is not available.
Clean cotton swabs or any soft, lint-free material (coffee filters work well).
Remove both cartridges.
Unplug the printer.
Lightly moisten the lint-free cleaning material with clean water.
Clean the cartridge contacts. Avoid touching the nozzles. Replace the cleaning material if it gets dirty.

If that does not work then I would try ordering some new cartridges

Printer won't print B&W even though black cartridge is full but 2 colours are empty.

Although you are only trying to print a B & W picture, the color print cartridge/cartridges must also contain ink in order for the printer to work. All print cartridges must contain ink for printing of any type to take place.
Load the color print cartridges and the B & W picture will print.
If you were trying to print a color picture and the B & W cartridge was empty, the printer also, would not print.
I hope this helps you out.

EPSON PRINTERS how to replace inks in epson DX 7450

You must surely have sorted this one out by now Doris! However, if you haven't, how to change print cartridges on a DX7450 is very clearly explained in the user handbook (on the CD that came with your printer). Insert the CD and select "Custom Install" then "Users Guide". Once its installed, double click the new Epson Icon on your screen and selct "Printing" then "Replacing Ink Cartridges". If you don't have a CD, download the User's Guide from the Epson website at http://www.epson.com - just choose your locale, then select Get Drivers and Support - Printers.
