1. The Drum LED blinks if the drum unit is near the end of its life. Use the drum unit until
you have a print quality problem, then replace the drum unit with a new one.
2. The Drum LED continues to blink if the drum counter was not reset when you replaced
the drum.
To reset the drum follow the instructions below:
a. Open the front cover of the printer.
b. Press and hold down the white button (shown as blue in the image below) for
about 4 seconds until all the LEDs light up. Once all 4 LEDs are lit, release the
button.
c. Close front cover

Drum end soon

Sounds like you need to replace the drum unit soon. Here is a new one that you can buy that is compatible with your printer: http://www.amazon.com/Brother-DR360-DR-360-Drum-Unit/dp/B001QTY5QE/ref=sr_1_9?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1305153837&sr=1-9.

I have a brother 360 and I have put a new toner and drum in it. The machine still says that there is a 0 drum life expectancy and to keep cleaning the corona wire. This is a dilemma at work because we are...

I don't now of a Brother 360 model, but here goes.
The printers have strange reset procedures, depending on model; very few Brothers automatically recognize a new drum.

But every new drum unit is accompanied by instructions on how to reset the counter. If you still have the packaging, it may be worth looking into, as some models use a specially cut out film for resetting the drum counter...

However, many models will respond well to the following procedure:
1) Power down the printer
2) Open the door (through which you replaced the drum)
3) Press the big key near the display and hold
4) Power on the printer, holding the key until all the lights activity stops + a couple more seconds for safety
5) In certain models you'll get a message "New drum?" on the display, to which you reply Yes and you're good. Close the door.
Good luck!

Error and drum lights are blinking i dont know what to do

First clean the corona wire. Next check for a paper jam. The drum is possibly at the end of life; the drum is part DR-360.

To clean the corona wire, remove the drum and toner assembly from the unit and gently move the green tab from right to left and then left to right several times. Return the tab to the home position before returning the unit to the printer. See http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/000200/000008/faq000208_021.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=hl2170w_all&Cat=7 for pictures.

To replace the drum, slide the drum and toner assembly out of the printer. Push down the green lever to unlock the toner cartridge and take it out of the drum. Unpack the new drum. Put the toner cartridge in the new drum. The green lever should lift automatically if you have the cartridge fully installed. Return the assembly to the printer. Then reset the drum counter by pressing and holding the white button until all 4 LEDs light. Then release the button. Finally close the front cover. Check that the Drum LED is off. For pictures, see http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/us/us/en/faq/faq/000000/000100/000054/faq000154_036.html?reg=us&c=us&lang=en&prod=hl2170w_all&Cat=7

I hope this helps.

Hi,
Turn your printer off. Turn it back on again, go to menu -> Machine Info -> Reset Menu, choose Belt Unit, OK, then reset the counter pressing 1, then press stop/exit. Same for drum.
If however this won't work, go to the following page and look at the instructions. Do what it says, but just pull out the drum unit and put it back in, the same with belt unit, just pull it out and put back in.
Then do the reset procedure as described. Should fool the printer ;)

Brother MCF-7340 first time toner replacement

If this model comes with the drum separately of the cartridge, only replace the cartridge. There's no need to change it every time. until prints start to get lines or dots. Don't expose the drum to light too much.
