What they are speaking of is the GEM module however this will not correct the concerns you have.
The GEM controls the following functions:

  • warning chimes and warning lamps
  • one-touch down window
  • windshield washers and wipers
  • battery saver
  • illuminated entry with keyless remote entry
  • interior lighting
Turn signals and hazzard lamps do not go thru the GEM module at all and the reverse lamps all the gem does there is look for reverse so it knows when to activate the auto lock doors when vehicle is in motion.
I suspect you have 2 or more problems here that you may want to get checked by an experienced Ford tech. Also the GEM has to be programed when replaced. It is not plug and play.

I looked at the wiring schematics for this and the one thing all of the concerns you listed have in common is they share a common ground G204 which is located in center of dash. Has anyone done any repairs there? It could be someone disturbed one of the splices there or maybe the ground is loose.

My brake lights, turn signals and hazard lights aren't working.

There should also be another fuse panel on the interior located on the driver or passenger side foot panels or there about.

I got a 2002 ford taurus and when i go to turn my headlights on the interior light dont work and the blinkers light up but they do blink when im turning, i was what it could be thats causing that thank...

Many turn signal lamps will have multiple bulbs in them. If "one" of the bulbs is faulty, the interior lamp or lamps will come on, indicating a bad bulb. You will need to turn on your left blinker and view the bulb and make sure all bulbs appear to be blinking on front and rear of the car, then repeat with the right blinker. If you find one that doesn't appear to look right or blinks faster slower or dimmer, then replace the bulbs in that turn signal. The interior light may begin working properly when you replace the "shorted" bulb for the turn signals. If it does not, check the fuses to make sure the "shorted" bulb didn't damage your fuse for the interior lights.

No longer hear "clicking" sound from my turn signals and "hazard" lights (exterior lights and interior dashboard lights are working properly).

There is flasher unit generally under the dash board that makes the turn signals and hazzard lamps work. You probably need to replace that, it looks like a small box couple of inches long.

No tail lights and no interior lights, brake and hazard work

check for the complete fuse box and search for short circuits. Check the fuses and the amps of each. Did you change the battery for a new one? Did you install any device not OEM? An alarm? Check the cable system. If this is ok, scan it.

Power windows

Try to only roll one at a time up or down if you push more than 1 button at a time it will put a strain on the battery also try getting your battery tested to see if a cell is out. good luck!
