At the bottom of the Emerson 32" started to be darker

I called Emerson and they told me to take it to specified TV repair shop. Cost me $129.95 just to look at it. Emerson only covered it up to 3 months, mine was within the year. Good thing I bought a Walmart warrenty. It been there going on 3 months, they had to order the parts. All I got was the runaround from Emerson.

Not sure if your asking a question here. The tidal of the page says" At the bottom of the Emerson 32" started to ........." I don't think your question came through.

It's possible that the Power Inverter Board is starting to go out. It has 6 small inverter transformers to power the LCD screen. Each transformer powers one section from top to bottom. If you are a do it yourself-er, shopjimmy.com might have one in stock. Those boards are hard to come by right now. But, if you have warranty it might be cheaper that way.

I have a emerson tv that i unplugged and moved and now it will not turn back on what is wrong with it

Try to unplug it and hold the power button for 30 secs. If that does not work it would be best to take it to a repair shop. The inside of the tv is very dangerous and if you do not know how to handle high voltage circuits you may injure or kill yourself.

Hitachi 42" plasma TV all of a sudden death. Power failure, no lights on the front panels. No signs of life.Found solution through my very honest repairman called Johnny's TV Repair in Hollywood:

There is a kill switch to protect against power surges. Located under the bottom edge nest to where the cable goes in the body, all you have to do is press it back in and voila; LET THERE BE LIGHT and probably save yourself a min $200 trip to the repair shop. Of all the places my friend called non mentioned this switch so next time you have TV problem and can't fix yourself go to this guy if you're in Los Angeles. EMERSON LC320EMX WHEN TURN ON GREEN LIGHT FLASHES THEN GOES TO RED

Sounds like capacitor/s failing on the power board. This is a common issue and there is lots of literature and even videos on how to perform the repair on web. A shop will charge upwards of $200 for this repair yet if you find the components and only have them change those; perhaps they will work with you on cost. GL!

My 32'' HCT TV screen break, where can i take it

If you mean that the screen is actually broken ie the glass then you would pay more for a new screen than you would for a new replacement tv. If it is just not working it could be a back light problem or something else. Unless you are covered under warranty almost any repair is going to cost almost as much as a new tv. 32's are inexpensive now so you have to be careful on spending too much on repairs.

The easiest way to find a repair shop is to call the store you bought it from and they will have the information of the repair depot nearest you. I don't see where you are located so you could be anywhere in the world. Check your warranty, check with the store and repair shop for repair cost and check out the price of a new tv. You will most likely find a new tv is the cheapest way to go.

The bottom third of the tv is darker than the rest. It is like a light bar burned out. The tv is 3 years old and has had this problem for 6 months now. Can this be fixed?

Hello There,

It looks more like one of the LCD matrix controller connectors got loose or the chip went out for good. I'd open the case to verify for back light on the bottom portion behind the screen; If you see back light, then check for a loose connector in that area, if no loose connectors are apparent, then the matrix controller is bad. You are in for a new TV set.

How do I hook up my Wii to my 32" Emerson lcd hd tv? I have my dishnetwork satellite hooked into the dvd player and it's hooked up to the TV. On my remote I don't see a "game" button like my older Emerson...

I found a better way and it works fine. I have a new 32 inch Emerson, with only one composit hood up ( which won't work with the wii) 2 HDMI's ( again does not hook up to the wii, the monitor hook up for PC, red and white ( yellow plus is not there it's for a stereo they told me), and the usb hook up ( which is more for pictures I was told by the company). The answer was to hook my RCA plus to the red and white under the composite, then hook the yellow into the green plug of the composite, and behold- my will now works fine.

My 32 inch emerson powers up and cuts off after a few seconds.

Hi, I own the same TV and had the same problem. It's the #1 plaguing issue with flat panel TVs made by Funai corp. Emerson is made by them. Normally, when this happens, the TV goes into " Protection Mode " because of a failing circuit board.

The most common thing to go out on flat panel TV is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board. But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. I can only make guesses with the symptom. I'm willing to bet you have the same problem like mine. One of six Inverter Transformers when bad on my Power/Backlight Inverter Supply Board. I replaced it and it works fine again. d66cb18.jpg

You have a few choices:

1. You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.

2. If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual at Tvtechcenter.com:
http://www.tvtechcenter.com/xcart/search.php?mode=search&page=1 It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists.Usually, cost under $6. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.

http://www.encompassparts.com/products/?LTZ2PC0MS008

3. Pay a TV shop to do the repairs. It maybe costly, but get an estimate of how much they will charge. That way you can decide if it worth repairing or replacing the whole TV.

Won't turn on

I want to save you time and money here.
A new TV just like the one you have at Walmart cost $189.

A TV repair shop will most likely charge you $100 just to look at it. And the part, Backlight Inverter/Power Supply Board ( I believe that is broken ) will cost $110 min ( That's a used part).

It would definitely cost more than $210 to repair the broken TV vs buying a replacement 19" TV at Walmart for $189.
