Question about Acer X193W LCD Monitor
Start up is normal, but once I select a user the monitor goes black and the computer continues to run. I have to reboot to get the monitor back however, it just goes back out again after I select a user.
The problem is likely that the resolution set on your computer is not compatible with the resolution set on your monitor. The easiest way to fix this is to hook up your old monitor and manually change the resolution to the native resolution on your monitor. Your documentation will have this info. If that does not work then you would need to reset your CMOS chip by shorting two pins. Input your computer make and model into google for a motherboard manual. It will tell you how to do this. Then it will be at the default resolution and you can adjust it from there.
