1 Answer

My disk drive has stopped working.

Last week I was able to use my disk drive to load cds onto my mp3 plyers software. I recently bought an ipod. So I unistalled my mp3 software and installed itunes. However my disk drive is not registering disks and appears not to be working. I used the device manager menu in my control panel and it said that the problem was a code 10. What does this mean and can I fix it or dod I have to take my computer in. I olnly got the laptop at Christmas.

Go into the BIOS of your laptop and see if your drive is being recognized in there. If its not then turn off the laptop take the drive out of the laptop and reseat it and then turn it back on and go back into the BIOS and hopefully it will be recognized there. Try using a boot disk and see if you can get your laptop to boot off of that when you first turn it on. If you can get it to boot up off of that then you know the drive is good and its a problem with the OS. Could be a virus, trojan. Also try swapping out the drive with a known good one if you can and see if that does the trick for you.

Flash player has several functions on the computer. First, recent computer programs have compartility to flash player making a requirement to achieve functionality. Usually, flash player performs the functions of multimedia display. However, in the absence of an alternative media player for audio videos, flash player takes charge on the computer as multimedia engine. Multimedia functionalities require compatibilities on the computer as a separate entity. For example, CDs or DVDs are played on the computer with separate media requirements than media encoded on the network. A computer may have adobe players or windows media players, iPod players, juke box software's as the media engines on the computer. However, a computer connected to a network of several devices may encounter media malfunction occasionally due to foreign devices requesting multimediedia sharing requiring device to device compartibity to achieve success. Second, flash player is the most recent media design compatible with apple computers and Microsoft computers alike. Flash player is carried over from the adobe reader acrobat as improvement over the years. During the inventions of apple Macs tablets, iPods, flash encoders recognizes the similarities either as defectives requiring integration for media displays to be achieved. For example, flash may function as a replacement program to computers incompatible due to recent innovations. Whenever a media player is malfunction, flash is capable of the missing link. Especially with recently innovated computers, phones, and several devices, flash are necessary software else multimedia would least display. The reasons for such are because several recent software's require flash codes to function appropriately. Third, the computer requires flash media software's to function with the recently introduced internet of several modern devices. Face book is an internet site that provides multimedia manipulations with several devices, in which situation flash player malfunction on a computer may least display any media on the computers. Usually the computer displays a message logo to the user requesting flash codes to be updated or installed for system to achieve media experience. First, a pack of multimedia software's are acquirable on the network elsewhere from the internet site requesting the updates of missing codes. Once messages of missing codes are requested, the entire site requiting accessibility id temporrsarity compromised until update is made usually onto the computer. For example, a computer without flash software's installed would request for an update once face book is being logged onto. Closing the computer internet sites usually provides an appropriate interface to perform downloads from the networks as repair modes before resuming internet face book browsing as before. Keep in mind that, a slightly outdate computer media players would request several complimentary programs installation as flash players are being downloaded. Usually, flash players are replaceable with shockwave players, or where only apple iPods most recent iTunes player replaces the real one player as modern design interface. However also, some media players are incapable of downloads unless the older versions were acquired and installed. For example, windows media player can only be installed as an update of the classic media player. Real one player can only be installed as an update of the juke box player, and finally flash players as an update of adobe acrobat media readers, and shockwave. Keep in mind that in the process of updating media players, software codes known as plug-in may be requested also as complementary. For example, active x plug-in as usually required as missing links to media players were also, direct x plug-in were a prior link for older computers requesting media codes. A computer may have been designed with every compatibly software's for user interface experiences. However, occasionally separate media like CDs and DVDs inserted into the computer disk drivers would require software codes to function. Computer software's usually may have an integrated accompanying media code of player to be installed together on the computer as precautionary measure of malfunctions due to code unavailability on the computer requiring new programs on CDS, DVD disks.

You should be able to use the small diameter disk. The disk can be inserted in the CD/DVD drive just like a normal size CD/DVD disk, it locks onto the spindle on the laptop's CD/DVD drive. The laser reads from the center of the disk.

Windows Failed to load because Kernel file is missing

try pressing f8 when you load vista and then select start normally
if that doest not work and gives you the same error then restart and press F12 as soon as you see the dell logo, put in the vista installation disk that you got with the laptop and select boot with disk option.

try and repair or the recovery option .

NOTE : IT IS RECOMMENDED TO TAKE BACK UP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE USING THE RECOVERY OPTION .

Are you talking about two problems on one computer? If so, the first problem doesn't matter until the second one is fixed. If you are talking about two different computers, then the problems can be each addressed.

For the hard drive that is not recognized, where did it come from? If you purchased it used, you may be out of luck. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea how computers work, and it also sounds like this hard drive does not work at all.

If these are both the same computer, then replacing the hard drive with a known working hard drive will most likely provide you with a solution.

I wish I had better news for you.
