Question about Dell XPS M1530 Notebook

Wifi card not detecting the network when more than 10 feet.

I have a Dell Studio XPS laptop which i bought it recently but to my greatest disappointment I found that the laptop is not able to detect the wireless networks when I am away for atleast a distance of 10 feet.I contacted the Dell tech support they said the problem is with the router.I am using an Airtel broadband connection. My friends are having the ACER 6920G and HP DV6000 series laptops .They are able to connect comfortably to the router. Moreover my laptop hangs and the keyboard and the mouse does not work and the entire system is stuck and when I restart the system it works fine.I doubt the Dell has given me a faulty product. Please give the solutions if anyone knows the answers ............I am waiting for a fast solution to the problems which I am facing.Any help will be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance.

When you first turn on your laptop press F8 and it will bring you to a menu. Choose "safe mode" and press enter. Hopefully it will accept the keyboard and you can get into safe mode. If you can get into there see if you can move your mouse around. If so and your keyboard responds then its a problem with the OS. Try that and let me know.

i would suggest calling technical support to see if the sim card you are using is even compatible with your laptop, you should not be having this problem if it is.

How do you remove a sim card from laptop dell xps?

The sim card is located behind the battery. You should see it if you take the battery out, if you push it in it will slide out. Now, what is it for?

Dell Studio XPS will have the high end gaming capability you want, and a fairly reasonable price.

At&t Wireless Air card

did your air card come with drivers and did you do the network setup wizzard for wireless connections
was this the floor model or boxed
did you flip the anttenna up to activate card
This phone can only be used with a compatible service plan.
is your service setup cause that would explain alot your comp needs a phone number for the card
