SOURCE: Connecting iPod to JVC KD-LH810!?!

Hi, KD-LH810 has no option for external input. Refer to the picture attached. It is only front and rear line outputs. Don't get disappointed. Buy the accessory cable KS-U100 and you are set. This info is from the installation manual.

How do I display the radio ID number, so that I can listen to Satellite radio?

Verify if the radio is "Satellite ready" or if it comes with the remote tuner unit. I believe you have to buy a separate tuner add-on and antenna in order to activate the satellite circuitry - THEN it will show you a radio ID. I think ONLY the Alpine comes with the tuner. I would call Crutchfield and they can tell you what all you need with that tuner to make it work with the satellite radio.

How do i find the sirius id on the panasonic cq-hr1003u?

The radio does not have a Sirius ID - it is not built in. THe CQ-HR1003u is Sirius READY - meaning... The CQ-HR1003U can control an optional Sirius Satellite Radio tuner by Panasonic (item #133SRT100).

In addition to the Sirius tuner, you will need an antenna and subscription in order to receive Sirius Satellite Radio programming.

Thanks!

Listening to sirius satellite radio and "reset 8" message flashed

The Sirius tuner is bad. 1000's were sold and 1000's have been replaced! The new model will work with your unit and does not fail, it's manufactured by DEI not Audiovox. Or, you can check Ebay for a rebuilt tuner for around 40-50 that has the problem fixed and corrected. Hope this helps.

Sirius stopped show up as a selection option

i have had this problem alot with the jvc's and sirius. the only way i have found to reset them is to
1. unplug the sirius tuner from power by disconnecting the data plug from the rear of your radio.

2. turn on the radio and cycle through the sources with it unplugged.
'
3. then plug it back in and check to see if it is now in your source menu.

if it doesn't work, just unplug everything and let it sit for a few mins the plug it all back in.

hope this helps

How do you get the sirius radio hook up to be displayed on the interface

If you have all the devices hooked up correctly using the JVC/Sirius interface. It does not recognize it if it's defective. Most common problem sirius/xm has. The miniport for the antenna connection has a bad solder joint and thus is inop. if it does turn on by chance, it will say "acquiring signal" and that's it. If it's new get it replaced. If it was working prior to this, and it's out of warranty, go on Ebay and get a rebuilt tuner, their about 50.00 and more reliable than new. Hope this helps

Can't select satellite option when pressing source button.

The Sirius Tuner is separate from the AM/FM/CD, check the plugs between the two. If all is snug, pull the SIRIUS tuner and go to a JVC dealer that would have any deck w/sirius as an option and plug it in. If it sees it, it's more than likely a problem with your deck. My guess is it's a bad SIRIUS tuner. There have been LOTS!!! Good news is there easy to replace if bad, and there cheap! $45.00 from Crutchfield rebuilt.

Satellite Radio

Yes, but it will require a tuner adapter so that your deck will properly recognize XM. However for my deck I noticed that "Sirius" will still be displayed as the satilite provider on the display menu. Confusing but don't cause much concern.

Jensen MSR4050G Sirius Ready marine radio

I had the same problem and there are a couple of reason why you may not be able to get into Sirius Mode.

  1. You have the wrong type of antenna (it must be a Sirius approved antenna)
  2. You may not have installed the tuner (most Sirius ready units need require that you have a tuner hooked up to your unit to get satellite reception. The tuners are specific to your unit, so make sure you but the correct one. This is quite sneaky on Sirius’ part…but good luck).
