Are you asking for donations to buy a new one? Call the factory, most likely you will need to send it in for repair.

try to check the insulation of your drain pan because of your water came from your unit is cold that create moist on the tank when hit by hot air from sorrounding air apply insulation on the tank.

on that model that you have you need to turn the unit off , take the water tank off, then the base where the fan is should come off. under the main base the filter will be under that. all you do is take the old filter off and put the new filter on. if you have any other questions please let us know.

how do I turn the unit on to steam the floor

usually it calls for one cap full per gallon of water that the unit has. what you do then is that you put the solution in the water then you put the tank back on the base and then you turn the unit on and let the solution run through your unit.

It started working again on its own. Not much of a solution!

I think some water must have got into the electronics and then once it dried, the humidifier started to work again.

There is probably a crack somewhere in the unit. Not likely, but worth visually inspecting closely.

Try filling it with less water and run it and see what happens.

Same problem — junk.  Will return it to Sears (Costco was out).
