I own an Epson LQ590 printer. When I print something, it is very slow and then it stops and all of the lights (paper out,Pause,Tear off bin,Font light, and Pitch light) all blink at the same time. The manuel says to turn it off and wait a few minutes. This does not correct the problem. Any ideas?

Re: My printer stops printing
I don't know how many hours your Epson has behind it but several printers in this series have some power supply problems relating to service hours and the decay of certain capacitors in the supply.
Finding ones that need replacement requires the availability of a capacitance meter with DF (Dissipation Factor) measurement capabilities.
Sometimes, a failed electrolytic will deposit some chemicals on the board around its base.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

hi it's normal to print slowly u can configure the printing settings to choose the printing qualtiy so if change ur printing quality to draft it will be faster but if u choose the resolution to be higher then the speed of printing will decrease and so on.
check if your LQ590 is set for manual feedor continuous feed. There is a toggle switch somewhere near the rubber rollers, there are symbols that will indicate for continuous paper printing or manual, select manual printing. Also in your print window, select printer properties, select manual printing. Yourprinter might be set up for sheet feeder or continuous paper printing. hope this helped.
