Question about Sony Grand WEGA KF-50WE620 Television
I purchased a new lamp for my Sony and the TV powers up but not the lamp. It flashes green for about 30 seconds then turns red with a series of 5 flashes. If I hit the power switch a second time it changes to 4 flashes.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
5 flashes indicates ballast malfunction. 4 flashes indicates fan not working. I would replace the big fan in the back because it is a common failure for this model. But befor this check to see if the lamp door is warped from overheating. If it is the wiring on the balast good be burnt and the light engine could be damaged.
