There are several ps2 to usb adapters out there, many made expressly for connecting the dual shock 2 to the ps3. they cost anywhere from around $5 to $20. i have one myself and it works very well.

Amazon.com has several listed - or you can search anywhere for 'ps2 to usb' or 'ps2 to ps3' and you should find something that will work - although as always read the reviews on the product first.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Ps2 Disc won't respond to a Ps3 when inserted.

Only the first version of the PS3 had PS2 backwards compatibility, They did make a special edition Metal Gear Solid version with it included but other than that no other PS3 will play PS2 discs... No matter what Add-On you install.

Ps2 controller won't work with our new ps3

Of course, ps3 can not be used on the ps3 controller. Can not be mixed used.
Or you can dial the Sony service center for advance information, it's better.

In 60gb, I think. But if I remember right, you can buy an add-on to any PS3 model to play PS2 games. EVERY PS3 model does play PS1 games though.

Wont read ps3 games

your blu ray might be dying. you can try cleaning it and if that doesn't work you might have to replace the lens or the whole blu ray drive along with the motor. on more costly side your ic chip on the control board might be going bad. and if not that your whole control board might be bad.... sad thing is you have to test it one by one to determine what it could be because it could be any one of these unless u send it off to a repair shop and they can pinpoint the problem

Husband has a ps2 controller that works when it feels like it

Sorry, I didn't quite understand the question, so are you actually using the wireless PS2 controller on the PS3?? Or it is for the PS2??
When i had a PS2, I brought a 'Logitech' controller for it and it worked well for about 6months, then after that the analogues started playing up and going funny. Same thing with the 'MadCats' PS2 contorller.
Now I have a PS3, and I just brought a new SONY PS3 Dual shock controller and works perfect. The logitech one is half the price, but i trust Sony more than other brands coz it is more reliable. I dunno if this helps, but if you're willing to spend abit more it's actually worth it.
You can check on eBay for an original PS2/3 controller which would cheaper than buying one in the stores.
Cheers~

Playing a PS2 game on a PS3 depends on what model your PS3 is. The 40 GB does not play PS2 games, the 60 GB definatly does ,and i dont think the 80GB does

Playing ps2 games on ps3

The new ps3's won't play ps2 games. the only ones I know of are the ones that came out when ps3 first came out. you will have to go to the following website http://www.us.playstation.com
there they will give you a list of models that will possibly be compatible with ps2 games. i bought the Ps3 with the same idea in mind. The sales clerk even said thay would play ps2 games. Because his does. But he got one of the first ps3's that ever hit the market also. the ps3 will play some ps1 games. There is no patch for it. so you may have to leep your ps2 system after all. i had to.

PS3

Ps3 supports over 1000 ps1 and ps2 titles. Make sure you hook your ps3 up to the internet and download the latest firmware updates. Odds are your system will be able to play all or most of your ps2 games once you update the ps3 online.
