Question about Kenmore Oasis HE 27082 Top Load Washer

Blue stains in the Kenmore Oasis

OK, we don't know if it is the washer or dryer.

We have the Kenmore Oasis washer and steam dryer. For the last several days, every load has come out with blue stains. I have run the washer through the clean cycle with bleach. The dryer tub is almost completely stained blue.

Is anyone else having this problem? I clean pockets before every load and none of the pants have the stains concentrated on them. It is just random on the clothes.

my dryer is stained blue on the inside after 2+ years of owning it, but does not transfer the color to other articles of clothing. i'm guessing its from wet blue jeans with the hot steam causing it to transfer to the dryer?

washer is not stained blue at all.

haven't tried to clean it off since it wasn't a problem, but i will try this weekend just to see if i can get it off.

I have a 5 year old set of Whirlpool Duets. I seem to have the same problem with random blue "ink like" stains on random pieces of, usually, white items. I can't figure out if it is the washer or dryer causing the problem but it is VERY frustrating. My dryer is stained blue also and I initially thought this was due to wet jeans and hot air, but now I am beginning to become suspicious that this could be the culprit. Some please HELP us. I am sick of my clothes getting ruined.

Check for a pen in the drain trap.

If you experience a problem where the washer does not drain properly or the drain pump makes excessive noise, here's the information you need to check the drain pump:

Symptom: PUMP IS RUNNING, BUT NOT DRAINING PROPERLY.

1. Unplug the washer while servicing inside the unit.
2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door by removing the three 7mm screws under the bottom edge of the panel. HINT: Use a couple of blocks of wood to prop up the front feet of the washer to gain better access to the screws. Once the screws are removed the panel should drop down, and then pull off. If the panel becomes stuck, a slight tap on either side will dislodge it.
3. Locate the drain pump. It will be located directly under the wash tub (it is the only pump this washer has).
4. There is an access removal cover on the pump that can be removed to clean out the trap. BEFORE doing this, it is strongly recommended that you remove all residual water from the wash tub & drain line or you will have about a gallon or so inside your washer and on the floor to clean up.
5. Here's a helpful way of quickly removing the residual water. If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum with the shop vac. This will empty the wash tub, pump and drain lines. If you don't own a shop vac, grab a bunch of old towels and open the access on the pump slowly so that it comes out at a trickle. Allow the towels to soak up the majority of the water. Close the access and stop the water if you need to get additional towels.
6. Open the pump access and remove once you have all the water drained. Check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris. Check the pump impeller and make sure there's nothing caught in it. Items as small as toothpicks or cotton swabs have been known to stop this pump from working.
7. Clean out the pump thoroughly and reinstall the access cover. Make sure the cover is snug, but do not over tighten.
8. Place the drain hose back in the standpipe (IMPORTANT - DO NOT FORGET!).
9. With the bottom panel still off, plug the washer back in and select the following on the operator console - DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button). "C00" will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.
10. Check the drain pump for leaks as the washer fills. The pump is gravity filled and will hold water even it is not pumping. Allow washer to run through diagnostics until it begins the wash tub tumble cycle.
11. At this point, you can stop the diagnostics procedure by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times. The drain pump energizes and the washer will begin to drain.
12. If the drain pump works normal and there are no leaks detected, reinstall the bottom panel and tighten screws.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water left inside the wash tub under the wash basket. This is why it is important to leave the door ajar when not in use so this water does not become sour.

When my washer is on the spin cycle it goes out of balence shuts down no matter wht size load or how i arange the load never completes the spin cycle this is a kenmore elite oasis 5 years old. #2 problem...

as for the washer there maybe a broken spring or where the spring attaches that balances the drum. look for this firest. for the dryer is it spinning around at the right speed if it is then the belt is ok. is it hot inside the dryer after running it when you open the door. if ti is check the dryer vent hose and exterior door at end of hose to see it they are plugged up . if the hose is plugged up the heat and moisture can't excape and the clothes will take a long time to dry.

We have a Oasis Washer and Dryer with 4 hoses 1 is a Y trying to figure out how it all hooks up as we have only had 2 hoses in the past 1 for hot and one for cold???

If you purchased a steam dryer then the one hot hose hooks to the dryer. The cold hose goes to the washer. The hot hose from the valve goes to the Y then one hose to your washer and one hose to your dryer

I am getting stains on my dark clothes that look like oil stains.

Check that the dispenser is clean, it may be gunged up with black gunge, use soda crystals and put machine on hottest wash. If all is clean it could be down to seal gone in drum letting grease into system. Good luck, let me know how it goes.

I need a manual for a Kenmore washer, model # 1102708604.

I have now got the manual for the Kenmore Elite washer and dryer coming in by mail. I had gone to the local Sears store and then to the service center close to home. The service center was able to find the manuals and order them for me.

Thanks for your help.

Washer and / or dryer causing stains

Better check the fabric softener dispenser because if at any time someone added undiluted softener it gum up and release at a later time especially on whites . The drum of dryer may have rust or paint missing inside or on the back , check this out . If drum is missing paint and wet clothing sets on that area long enough they will create rust .
