What kind of RAM did you install? If the RAM should match the speed-limits of your motherboard. So if your RAM speed is, say, 667MHz and your board will only use 400MHz or 533MHz, you will need to get the correct speed. Check your user guide for the correct specs of memory for your particular model systems. Good Luck.

I have an E machines t5026. I just upgraded the memory to 2GB 1x2 1gb sticks. The machine confirms the new memory is there and runs very quickly now. However it randomly shuts down and reboots by itself.....

Hello,
Unexpected system shut down and restart after new hardware install is a result of installing the hardware either wrongly or its incompatible.
You will have to Reinstall the RAM chips.
Remove them, then fix them and make sure they are correctly fixed into *********** board.
If the RAM chips are compatible with you motherboard and it is correctly installed,
then the problem will be solved.

Thank you for using Fixya,
Kenneth.

Can I do a memory upgrade on Sony VGC -LS 37E?

the specs for your computer, it states that it is equipped with 2gb of memory 2x1gb and max at 2gb, so I doubt that any higher memory upgrade installed would work, or else it would cause your system to crash or even damage it.

Hp xw9300 workstation bios shows 4gb of installed ram but the system properties when the pc is booted up only show 2gb of ram. Whats the fix for this?

If you running a 32 bit version Operating system it does happen. since there's a limit for 32 bit operation though the mother board can handle 4gb.
other common cases: 1 of the sticks are bad. try to reseat the memory sticks to isolate which ram is not detected.thanks

Have an HP xw9300 with 8GB of physical RAM but Windows XP-32-bit is only seeing 2GB and the system Bios is seeing 8GB. XP-64-bit sees all 8GB of RAM Expected 32-bit XP to see 4GB of RAM Why is the OS...

Problem: More than 2GB of RAM is installed, yet the 32-bit OS only sees 2GB.

Cause: Memory remapping is
enabled.

Solution: Enter Computer Setup (F10) and disable memory
remapping: Advanced > Chipset/Memory.

Just installed 2 2GB cards (Corsair VS2GB800D2) to replace the 1 1GB card in my emachines EL1200 series. Computer will not boot. replaced the old card and it booted right up.

Will it boot with only ONE of the 2GB memory-sticks installed?
Will it boot with ONE of the 2GB memory-sticks AND one of the 1GB memory-sticks?

Look closely at the 1GB memory-sticks.
Does the label show 'DDR266' or 'DDR333' or 'DDR400' or 'PC2100' or 'PC2700' or 'PC3200' ?
Do the 2GB memory-sticks have _identical_ information?
It's definitely _not_ acceptable to have "slower" RAM (smaller numbers) in the new RAM,
but it _might_ be acceptable to have "faster" RAM (larger numbers).

Hello there

1) check correct timings or auto on BIOS RAM.
2) Use if XP, use of pagefile, mode, windows select the mode.
that is in control panel, System, advance, memory use.
3) Don't run any Antivirus program while use your program. see if work.
