First place to start is replacing the fuel filter in the fuel tank, hook the hose out through the open filler hole with a piece of bent wire, replace the filter on the end.

Want to know what the button on the top right corner of the saw is meant for ,often while cutting my left thumb seems to hit this and shut the saw off. There is a little diagram beside the button by I...

The only button i can think of is the decompression valve, but i did not think it possible to hit this while operating the saw, this button is a starting aid, you push it in to satrt the saw, when the saw sarts it will come out automatically, if you push it in with the saw running it will stop.

Fuel ajustments on carberetter

to ajust your fuel inlet their is a screw on the side of the carb when you screw it in your leaning it out and out will richen it but you need to find the right ajustment because if to lean it out to much you will burn the piston but to rich will foul the plug

Husqvarna 455 rancher Starts fine and runs great for about 5 mins. Stalls and wont restart until cold. Problem than repeats

Try removing the fuel cap for a moment to see it can be restarted immediately. If this works, check the fuel tank vent for plugging problems. Also, check for spark at the plug when it dies--if no spark, try a fresh plug gapped at 0.020". If nothing, the ignition module may be failing with heat. Good luck!

Chainsaw starts then quits right away. half choke. has fuel and bar oil chain is free and runs.

Our mini-Mac saw seems to require some fiddling with the choke as it doesn't have a primer button, but once it starts firing, the choke can be opened fully after a moment or so. Check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Check the fuel line for decay or other problems. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Check the spark plug for blue, snappy spark (gapped at 0.020"). Hope this helps!

Have a poulan chainsaw that won't idle/stay running and bogs down when you press the trigger control. Do you need a certain wrench to adjust carb??

no carb ajustment is done with a flat head screwdriver, first i would remove the card, disassemble it and blast it with compressed air because its probably just clogged up with varnish. to ajust the high low and idle screws bottom both out ( turn in all the way) then unscrew each one turn. from there start the saw and loosen in 1/4 turn at a time until it runs well

Need carb h/l ajustemts and idle controle ajustment

This does take a little time to get it just right. Start at one full turn for the h and l. Work on the high first and after you get the H running work on the Low. They have to work together. So if you get it to idle and run at full throttle but it hesitates when you pull the trigger just adjust the low a little higher.
