You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. reformatting the disk / restore computer back to company settings...is only the resolution for this...
To reinstall your operating system, you must have a CD drive in your multimedia pocket.
Note: CF-51 (Mk2) and CF-51 (Mk3) can also boot to an external Panasonic USB CD drive.
When the laptop is first powered on, the Panasonic name appears in white lettering with the phrase 'Press F2 to enter Setup' directly below it. When this phrase appears on the screen, immediately press F2 on your keyboard. Put the Panasonic recovery CD in your drive and use the arrow keys to move to the boot tab. Change the order of boot so the CD drive boots first. To do this, highlight the CD drive and press F6 until CD drive is the No. 1 listing. Press F10 to save your changes, exit and follow the instructions when your CD starts running.
Get your original windows cd and put it into cd drive and boot up and it will reinstall the operating system. Youll be able to find all your old files on the c; drive afterwards in a folder callled old windows. If its vista or later you'll have to keep hitting F8 until you get into boot menu and select system restore and restore to factory settings. You will lose all files this way.
1. put the cd in the drive and go to My Computer and right-click on it & select the Open or Explore option. you should be able to see the contents of the drive and you can copy and paste wherever you lke.
2. if that does not work - create a temp folder on the desktop. now go to Start -> Run and type in"cmd" and hit <enter>.
now type in "C:\" and hit <enter>
if the cd drive in your computer is, say D drive - then type in "D:" and hit <enter>
you should be able to see the contents of the drive and use the "Copy" command to copy it to the temp folder in the desktop from where you can copy it to your daughters mp3 player.
You could try putting the drive back in and try start up in Safe Mode press F8. at Bootup, Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back. See if that works. If not as a work around you could coot an your windows DVD and try a "Repair" install. OR Get a USB to SATA drive converter dongle, quite cheap, and hook it up to another working PC and get the Data off that way.
If the mouse is newly installed may be theres a problem in the port drive of your acer computer or one of its components been corrupted. So as your monitor doesn't work since display components and its, drive have been missing. YOu have an acer CD, try to repair or perhaps it needs to reformat your Acer computer.
You might have multiple problems. Are you sure the CD-Rom works? It is not uncommon for CD-ROM drives to go bad in laptops. If it was bad before and then the hard drive became corrupt all before it was given to you then you would have no way of knowing. This would explain why you do not get the Press Any Key to Boot From CD on boot.
There is no doubt that the hard drive image is corrupt, so the first thing I would check is the CD drive and go from there.
