My Sansa worked perfectly up to a few weeks ago, and it's brand new, basically.
    I bought it January 11, 2009,

If you purchased this new it should have come with a disc containing the drivers, if you dont have it go to this website www.sandisk.com and they should have a section for you to download what you need.

Hi

I see that you need the driver for your Sansa Sandisk e250, see links below for the download page.

http://kb.sandisk.com/

This will direct you to the Sandisk website just select your Sansa e250 from the list of devices from the website to get the driver softwarethat you need to make your Sansa e250 running.

I hope this helps.

Have a nice day,

Sansa icon will not appear in source window

There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. For some reason MTP is the default, but it doesn't connect properly on all computers. Select MSC and plug the player in again, the computer will recognize sansa e250 but not show the driver just yet. It is installing recognition software (just basic drivers - nothing heavy) and it doesnt tell you what its doing until its complete. WAIT FOR IT. Once it is complete you will see both the sansa e250 and the removable memory slot in your "my computer" now you're good to go.

The device is supposed to refresh each time in case you put in a new memory card or added additional files. That's not the problem - this is: There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. My new Dell Vostro does not recognise the Sansa e250, my previous Dell Latitude D620 immediately found it and connected (via USB)

hi
i think the reason may be due to virus attack or the corruption of running softwares in your e250 mp3.also you should install the driver of your mp3 in the lap

Sansa e250 is not showning usb plug in

Yes, you need a driver - I hope you have your installation Cd b/c Sansa has taken the driver off of their website. Look at the previous solutions for this player in Fixya, b/c this questions has been asked many, many times and people have offered a few third party websites where you MIGHT be able to find the driver

Hi-USB refers to the USB 2.0 standards. It appears your computer only has USB 1.* hardare on it's motherboard. If you have a free PC slot, you can buy a 2.0 USB upgrade card. It will speed up the transfer times between USB devices and your computer. As for your computer not "seeing" your sansa, try another USB cable. If that does not help, check under control panel/system/device manager to see if the device is properly installed. The sansa operates as a "removable drive" so you should see your player as another disk drive in windows explorer. If you have a drivers/installation CD-rom for your player reinstall them, or check the sansa website for possible newer updates. Good Luck!
