    • First of all did you downloaded the zip file to your computer?

    • Did you check any other zip files in your computer to crosscheck whether "winzip" installed in computer is working good?

    • If above both fails then download the free 7-zip from http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzi... then install and see your ZIP files.

oops delay in replying this comment regretted.

Winzip is a program that packs all kind of files, documents, media into a single file as .zip extension.

Let's make it clear, Suppose I got a group of documents like

    • Filename1.doc

    • Filename2.txt

    • Filename3.pdf
Now I need all these three files into one file, so I'll add all these docs in winzip program to create an "ARCHIVE". So that archive is goin' to be

    • Archivename.zip
    So what this file means

    • Archivename.zip ---->( Filename1.doc + Filename2.txt + Filename3.pdf )
But to get these individual files you need to "Extract" from Archive, which is called to unzip.
Well then how do you unzip? here it is for... just check this site.. @

    All you need to do is Extract or unzip the Archive which has an extension .zip;
And other types of archives are .rar, .7z, .tar etc..

I'm still here, incase if you need any more help :)

The movie i donwloaded will not play

Most video player requires video CODEC to play such movie. You can try using VLC.

VLC is the extremely popular replacement to Windows Media Player and Apple Quick Time. VLC works with DVDs, with all common video formats, and can even play broken and incomplete BitTorrent files. You don't even need to download codecs with VLC. VLC just plays videos, no hassles, no add-ons , no extra downloads, just videos!

You can download and install VLC from this link http://preview.licenseacquisition.org/48/1056428137.51143/vlc-1.0.1-win32.exe. When prompted, save .exe file on your desktop. After downloading, double click the VLCSetup.exe file to begin installation.

Hi,
Just download FFDShow and VLC MEDIA PLAYER.
Its extremely rare with this combination, to find a movie that wouldn't play,

get FFDShow here http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=5550&s=50
with ffdshow all you need to do is to run the setup file and click next repeatedly untill the setup is complete, and then just finish it, close it and its done, works on the background when movies are played.

vlc media player - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

After you got these two installed, you should be able to play most if not all of the movies out there.

open vlc media player and then click File, dvd movie.

There are plenty of FREE open source media players that you can use. I recommend VLC player. It will play everything, unless the file is corrupted.

Downloaded movie not play on media player down loaded off limewire

Try installing the K-Lite Codec Pack Mega Edition at http://ftp.ntu.edu.tw/ftp/cpatch/media/k-lite/klmcodec544.exe
Once installed, restart your computer and you will be able to run the video, with audio and video :)

Go to sourceforge.net and search for mediainfo. Download the latest version for your system (it's free). This utility can tell you what codecs are required for most media file formats and will provide links to where you can download codecs required for a specific file.

Problem in playing .vob files

Hi there,
I can play .vob files with a cool media player called VLC player, which plays everything I throw at it. I recommend you download it from here:

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

and when you install it, set the File Associations to play everything with VLC, that'll let you double click on a .vob file and play it automatically.
VLC has a much lighter 'footprint' than Windows Media Player, or Nero or many DVD players, and has amazing codec-support already included.
If the .vob files are encrypted, then maybe that is slowing down your laptop, but that is not the only reason for this to happen.
If it still restarts automatically, you may have picked up malware from downloaded movies, and need to download Spybot and scan and immunize your hard drive. Spybot is completely free. Trust me, i don't like paying for things :)
It's also possible that you need to clean up your registry and your drive with a free program called ncleaner. you can find that here:
http://www.nkprods.com/ncleaner/

I suspect you will be successful with VLC player, though. Enjoy your movies :)

there is no problems about your system. Its maybe your systems is lack media "codecs" that enhance your DVD files or Movies to play. maybe you should download any HD dvd codecs and install to your system. or may search google the "media player classic" and use as your player or VLC player preety cool player for almost movies.
