Question about Whirlpool S20DRSS33 Side by Side Refrigerator
The water filter indicator keeps flash at 1% even though I have change to a new filter. How do I get it to change back to F99%
I discovered by sheer luck that if I hold down the OK button for a few seconds the filter indicator changed from the flashing 1% to 99%.

The water filter status light, present on some models, will help you know when to change your water filter. The light, or indicator, is located on the temperature control panel in the refrigerator compartment or on the dispenser control panel on the freezer door. The light will change from green to yellow. This tells you that it is almost time to change the filter. It is recommended that you replace the filter when the status light changes to red OR when water flow to your water dispenser or ice maker decreases noticeably. Most models also have a Filter Indicator Reset button located in the same area. After changing the filter, reset the filter status light by pressing the Filter Indicator Reset button. The status light will change from red to green when the system is reset. If your model has a water filter indicator but no reset button, press the light switch in the refrigerator compartment 5 times within 10 seconds to reset the system. The status light will change from red to green when the system is reset. also here is a link to the site for pics http://whirlpool.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/whirlpool.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=970&p_created=1170946011&p_sid=mH65a3Ii&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NjYmcF9wcm9kcz0xOTkmcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PTEuMTk5JnBfY3Y9JnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9UzIwRFJTUzMzIFNpZGUgYnkgU2lkZSBSZWZyaWdlcmF0b3I*&p_li=&p_topview=1

Some people are not aware that after you change your refrigerator water filter, there are two more steps that should be taken to complete the water filter change process.
Reset your water filter indicator light - Most new refrigerators come equiped with an indicator light that notifies you when it is time to change your water filter. This light does not automatically reset when you change your water filter. Here is a list of refrigerator manufacturers and how to reset the indicator light.
GE General Electric Refrigerators - Press and Hold the Reset Button for around 8 Seconds.
Flush a couple of gallons of water through your new filter. Since most refrigerator water filters are made of carbon, some carbon residue is present in the first gallon or two of water. This will leave a bitter taste and residue in your water. If you continue to have these problems after flushing a couple of gallons through the filter, it is possible that you have a defective water filter.
