Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Window says there is a scanner failure.

There is a rhythmical clicking sound from the right rear side of the machine and the window says there is a scanner failure. It advises to turn off then on, the power. This does not resolve the problem. I am unable to print or copy while the machine is in this state, Any ideas?

I recently had the same problem, and it is a very easy fix. What you have to do is remove the top and clean the underside of the glass. There is a white strip that lets the scanner know its in the home position. Pop off the control panel cover. Remove the 3 torque screws in the rear and the one on the right. VERY carefully release the buttons for the control panel with the tabs in front and slide out, careful there is a control ribbon underneath so be gentle. Then from the front there are tabs on each side to release the top. Clean glass and replace, should work good as new.

I lost my CD installer for audio driver and i was not able to find it anywhere in the web. please help. i am using. windows2003 OS. thanks

    Hi

I would need to know what kind of sound card you have to get the drivers for it .

Click the Start Button at the bottom left of your screen and then click the "Programs" folder.

Next, click the "Accessories" "System Tools" and then the "System Information" folder or program (depending on what version of windows you have).

Within the System Information window, click the + symbol next to Components.

Click "Sound Device" (or "Multimedia" and then "Sound Device") and in the right-side of the window you should be able to locate complete information about the sound card.

If you could put that information on here I will try to locate some drivers for it.

    Hope this helped

2004 honda odyssey rear window passenger side won't open

First check fuse #7 and #16 in the passenger side dash fuse box, however I've seen this happen allot on this body-style of Odyssey's. Here's a quick check you can perform: Operate the rear vent window switch and listen for a 'click' in the rear of the van next to the vent window. This is the relay 'clicking'. If you hear the relay 'Click' you now know that your getting power in the circuit. This means that the vent motor is faulty. This is a common failure and they usually go out in pairs, so the other side maybe on its way out too. If you don't hear the 'click' than you'll have pin test the multiplex control circuit for a fault.
    -hope this helps

    Power window control

So as not to be repetitive, for the failure of your power driver side window and rear window, review this handy diagnostic article, which identifies the possible causes, from a bad fuse, relay to window motor, etc.:

This should help narrow down your particular cause.

When I turn the printer on, a rhythmic banging sound starts

Is the scanner transport lock engaged?

This is either a screw, pin, Clip, Slideswitch or button that keeps the delicate scanner head from moving during shipment.

Look for it in the back and on bottom. If that isn't it, then the driver circuit for the stepping/space positioner motor is bad and you need a techie like me to fix... or just get a new AIO for $39.95 from Wal Mart.
