Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.
capacitor for run motor has gone most likely. on the motor you will find a black box with ether 2 black wires or one black and other white with something like cbb61 ac450. that has probably gone. they in most 2 phase motors and 3 phase motors like ceiling fans. dont cost a lot to replace just make sure it is the right uf rating can be 1 uf up but not down. so say yours is 1uf and you fing a 2uf it would be fine but a 4uf will make the motor slower.
You shuld fing the drain holes behined the evaperator coils behind the front cover. but be certain that the unit is tilted towards the outsid eabout a 1inch or so. check you filter and clean while your at it .. hope this helps
Hi, you need to take out the whole air con and clean it, heres how to clean it, first open the case then wrap with plastic the power supply and the motor so that it cannot wet, then washed the whole area of the air con and dry it with high pressure air sprayer. then return back the cover and test it. hope this could be helpful. thanks

Could be motor mount bushings, or bearings going in motor, but another common cause is mud-wasp nests, or other debris on the blades of your condenser fan. You'll need to shut off power at breaker, remove cover on roof unit, and have a look, and clean off as necessary. While power is off try moving motor shaft up and down, side to side, to feel if there is excessive play that may be the cause. This will also allow you to have someone turn unit back on, while you stand back with cover off and observe for possible causes of movement. Turn power back off at breaker for re-install of cover.
