If you ever drop an electronic device in water, you should turn it off and leave it in a well-ventilated place for at least a week, this is to avoid any short circuiting that may occur. It seems you have already switched your phone on, it may be possible that you have permanently damaged the circuitry. Try following the above steps, and if that doesn't solve your problem, the you should take your phone to a Nokia service center.
You should not take chances with your phone by putting it in the frezzer. The best thing to do when a phone has fallen into water is to dryit up as you have done. But unfortunately it hasn't worked for you.The best thing to do now is to take your phone to your retailer and ask to solve the problem. You should not take it to local mobile phone repairing shops. They might solve the problem for now but it may pop up again. So take your phone to the authorized dealer as soon as possible.Thank you
Hi, a blue tooth device would allow you to hear and speak through it so it should solve your problem.
the only problem you may have is if the water damage has causes damage to bluetooth inside the phone, try choosing bluetooth on your phone and see if you can still do a search and connect with another phone, if you can still connect to another phone to say send music or picture via bluetooth then this would suggest your bluetooth is fine and using a bluetooth head set will solve your problem and allow you to use your phone again.
if you cant connect to another phone via bluetooth then the chances are it wont pick up the bluetooth head set and you would be no better off
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
please rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
Hi, There are a million reasons why this might happen (Nokia bluetooth is without doubt the flakiest thing on the planet). One thing that has worked for me on two different Nokia phones (particularly to solve the "continuous scanning" problem when trying to turn bluetooth on, is actually just to navigate to the bluetooth menu; turn it OFF (get the "bluetooth OFF" message) and then to turn it ON. Basically the firmware gets confused and this resets it.
I had lots of trouble too. I thought it was my phone. Well here's what you do. First off remove the device completely from your phone. Turn off the phone and take the battery off so it can re-boot. When the phone is powered back up put your bluetooth in pairing mode and get it back on your phone. It should connect without any problems. Now....here is the trick. When you want to disconnect the device(bluetooth) from your phone don't turn it off on your phone. Shut the actual power off on your bluetooth. The phone will recognize this and disconnect the device. The only thing left on your phone will be the bluetooth icon. Being the icon still on your phone it is still in discovery mode and can overtime use up your battery life searching for a device. This is when you can go to your phone and turn off the bluetooth. On your NV 2 go to your bluetooth menu and just use your left softkeyto turn it off. Now there is no connection whatsoever. And to turn it back on do the opposite. Go to your bluetooth menu and turn on your bluetooth. You will see the bluetooth icon. Now you power up the bluetooth and it will connect as soon as it get the signal. This took me 2 weeks of trial and error and other stuff but I am happy now and I hope this solves any bluetooth problems...
Bluetooth module needs to be replaced. Bluetooth module gets to be faulty very easy, because it is on the side of the phone, so just a small drop can damage it. There is a glue around it, it this is cracked your phone is already out of warranty due to customer abuse.
Other thing what can appear with your phone is short battery life.
