1.Unplug anything plugged into the headset jack.
2.If you're on a call and holding your phone next to your ear, speak into the microphone and make sure you don't block it with your fingers or shoulder.
3.If you're using a screen protector or case that covers the microphone, remove it. Clear any debris from the microphones.
4.Restart your device.
5.Update to the latest version of iOS.
Test the microphone
To find out if there is an issue with the microphone itself-and not the app you're using or your cellular connection-test the microphone with the built-in Voice Memos app. Speak into the microphone and then play back the recording. You should be able to hear your voice clearly.
*If you can't hear your own voice the microphone is not working properly, you should replace the piece of hardware.
If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphonedriver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured inSkype. To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories -Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back.If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype. To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.
Most microphones (especially those made for use in a computer) do not remove any background noise. This is usually done via software, but it might not be available on every app out there.
If you can't talk properly using your current mic, your best option might be getting a headset. Headsets have a less sensitive microphone, which will tend to pick up only your voice. If you have a bluetooth headset, you can use it on your computer by adding a bluetooth dongle.
The problem seems to be with your friend's setup, and possibly yours. Try adjusting mic levels and volume levels to where they don't interfere with each other. Ex.--you talk , they hear you at a volume that is too loud and it gets into their mic, creating a loop....feedback. You do the same too. Trial and error. Hope this is helpful.
This model hp compaq nc6120 pc notebook has NO built-in mic. I read it on the manufactures website in the "reviews" section. But it does have a port where you can connect an external mic and it will work "BEAUTIFULLY" The port is on the right side of the laptop next to the dvd/cd drive.
If they can hear your breathing that means that you are not speaking in to the microphone, do a microphone test on the computer and see if you hear your own voice. If you don't the program that your using is set to use wrong sound input and the settings will have to be changed.
The problem is that your microphone is generation feedback when the talk because you have the speaker volume turned up. Try lowering the volume. If this doesn't work I suggest you use a set of headphones and it will eliminate this problem completely. Hope this helps. Bud
